The Pembrokeshire Coast by Dafydd Wyn Richards

This series of work brings together an exclusive set of new oil paintings depicting the Pembrokeshire coast and countryside. Dafydd is a landscape painter who grew up near St. Davids. Growing up by the sea has been inspirational in shaping his style and subject choice. Working primarily with palette knives, the pieces inspire depth and a strong sense of place, resulting in a unique visual representation of the sea and surrounding rural space, which are constantly in flux.

Join our Ranger on a leisurely walk and talk to Caerfai and along the Coast Path to St Non’s. Uncover the wildflowers found in the hedgerows and along the coast and discover the local/Welsh names for plants, as well as their historical uses. There will also be the opportunity to look at digital methods of identification through Seek by iNaturalist and talk about the ways we can all support important ecosystems.

Our National Park conservation officer Clare will introduce a range of moth species, offering insights into their behaviour, ecology, and the important roles they play in our natural environment. *Moth trapping is not harmful or cruel. It simply involves attracting moths to a light source so you can take a closer look at them before safely releasing.
