When HMS Erebus set off on Franklin's expedition in 1845, she became the subject of one of the most compelling maritime mysteries of our time. This unique temporary exhibition will showcase never-seen-before artefacts recovered from the shipwreck, in a reconstruction of a ship's cabin, complete with a "hologram" of this ship's iconic bell.

Helen Elliott is a renowned British artist and colourist based near Pembrokeshire and her work is influenced by Naïve art, the Fauvist movement and Scottish Colourists this month at Oriel y Parc.

Amgueddfa Cymru and Oriel y Parc are proud to present the work of pioneering British artist Helen Chadwick (1953–1996). Helen Chadwick: Body and Landscape is organised as part of ARTIST ROOMS, which presents the work of international artists in solo exhibitions drawn from a national touring collection jointly owned by Tate and the National Galleries of Scotland.

A giant has made himself at home at Oriel y Parc! This playful outdoor adventure encourages children to use all their senses while exploring the landscape in a whole new way.

Journey of the Shapeshifter is a circus show with aerial, acrobatics and live folk music, designed for families and audiences of all ages. Inspired by the tale of Ceridwen and Taliesen from the Mabinogi, the show follows the themes of transformation and metamorphosis of humans embodying animal forms. The greater message is that we, as animals, are part of the natural world and can live harmoniously with nature. Freya Sofia and her company are based in the Dyffryn Ogwen. Their work is inspired by the local landscape, folklore and folk music.

Meet the crew and see the Lifeboat, see Fishguard Bay and our amazing coastline from a new perspective and enjoy an afternoon of fun and games There’ll be music from the Goodwick Brass Band and Fishguard Folk, a BBQ from 4pm, and plenty of fun with: stalls, refreshments, model boats, wooden gifts, face painting, souvenirs and much more . . .

Treat yourself to a festive candlelight tour of Picton Castle 🕯️ Join us on December 17th, from 6pm – 8pm, for this unique Christmas experience. Your Christmas tour of the castle is rounded off with drinks and festive canapes by the fire in the Great Hall. Tickets to be released closer to the date.

Meeting Father Christmas at Picton is an experience for the whole family. With sumptuous decorations and an elf door trail in the castle, Christmas crafts in the family room, a gift for every child and mulled wine or spiced apple juice for every adult by the fireside in the Great Hall.
