About Stackpole Under the Stars

With a string of Dark Sky Discovery sites dotted around the coast and countryside, Pembrokeshire is one of the top spots in the UK to experience an unforgettable night of stargazing.

Broadhaven South beach is one of these discovery sites, and just a shooting star away lies the perfect sanctuary for a truly memorable outdoor experience – Stackpole Under the Stars

“Dreamy days and starry nights” runs their tagline and it’s fitting. There’s no better way to round off an adventure-filled day exploring the stunning beaches of the Stackpole Estate than to cwtch around your campfire with family and friends and watch as the night sky unveils its astonishing show. Stackpole Under The Stars owners Stan and Laura Ridgway have lived on the estate for more than 20 years. They took over the old campsite at North Lodge – one of the former lodge houses to the Stackpole Court mansion – eight years ago, with the backing of the Greener Camping Club. Laura said: “Lots of our guests mention their stargazing experiences in their online reviews. For some it’s the first time they’ve ever seen a shooting star – and that’s been grandparents as well as children! “It’s common to be able to see the Milky Way stretching across the night sky above the camping field; that’s a first for many people too. It’s fantastic for us because we know that holiday memories like those will stay with our guests for years to come.” The campsite’s 5 camping pitches, 2 yurts, 2 safari tents and a luxury glamping pod, are surrounded by National Trust woodland, and offer a peaceful paradise where anyone can enjoy sleeping under canvas.

Stackpole Under The Stars is open from March to October (and from February for the luxury glamping pod)

Camping pitch prices begin at £30 per night (based on up to 2 sharing)

Glamping accommodation prices begin at £115 per night (for up to 4 sharing)
