Colin Jackson CBE
Colin Jackson CBE is a true British athletics legend. An Olympic silver medallist and double world champion, his dominance was unmatched. He went an incredible 12 years unbeaten at the European Championships, held the 110m hurdles world record for 13 years, and the world indoor record for 27. Across his remarkable career, he secured 25 major medals, including 12 golds and 8 silvers - a testament to extraordinary talent, consistency and longevity.
Beyond the track, Colin’s charisma and expertise have made him one of Britain’s most loved media personalities and motivational speakers. He is widely regarded as a national treasure and remains one of the most recognisable figures in UK sport.
Since retiring, his medal haul and infectious energy made him a natural fit for the BBC athletics team, where he has been a key voice for two decades, covering every major Games from Athens 2004 through to Paris 2024.
