On 30 October, Haverfordwest will come alive with a spectacular lantern parade celebrating Welsh myths, legends and community.
Inspired by the ancient traditions of Noson Galan Gaeaf, this year’s parade brings Welsh storytelling to life through handmade lanterns, music, performance and two spectacular three-metre-high illuminated puppets created by Sand Palace Arts.
Inspired by the Welsh goddesses Cerridwen and Rhiannon, alongside the White Stag of Annwn, the giant puppets will weave their way through the town, interacting with the crowds and creating magical moments along the route.
At its heart, the parade is a celebration of Pembrokeshire’s communities coming together. Families, schools, artists and local groups will fill the streets with their own lantern creations, creating a joyful procession that celebrates Welsh culture, creativity and the changing seasons.
Come along and experience the magic of Haverfordwest Lantern Parade – an evening of Welsh stories, community and imagination.
Gather at St. Thomas Green from 5pm. Parade starts at 6pm.
