Spring is here and the Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre museum and Coffee Bar will be open again from Monday 30th March, when we'll be celebrating with a day of FREE entry, a new exhibition, and plenty of fun activities. Bring the kids for our ever-popular face painting and badge making, as well as our regular family activities such as quizzes, treasure hunts and rummage box. Our Coffee Bar will be open selling barista coffee and refreshments.

We're thrilled to be able to present our latest temporary exhibition. Fresh from Antiques Roadshow, meet Charlie the ventriloquist's dummy (pictured). Charlie is looking good at over 100 years old! His operator Ernie James was from Queen Street, Pembroke Dock, and the pair were a well-known local act through the wartime 1940's until the sixties.

Charlie still works, and can even cry! Ernie James and Charlie once performed at the Garrison Theatre, the former RAF Chapel which went on to become the Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre so we are delighted to welcome him back. We thank his current owner, Paul Elliott, for sharing this unique piece of Pembroke Dock History. See Charlie at the Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre until the end of June 2026.

Our permanent exhibits attract visitors of all ages and interests. Fans of military history are drawn to our exhibits featuring the WWII flying boats, including a simulated Sunderland cockpit and the magnificent stained glass Pembroke Dock Memorial Window. Star Wars enthusiasts flock to our permanent installation describing how the Millennium Falcon was built in Pembroke Dock.

Free entry applies on Monday 30th March only. The Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre opens from 10am until 4pm Monday to Friday. Your well-behaved dog is also welcome!
