Behind the Scenes Tour at Picton Castle & Gardens

Explore more of the castle and learn about the charity’s conservation work and restoration.

Step behind the scenes of Picton Castle, with over 700 years of history hidden inside its walls. Explore the forgotten nursery wing, the derelict attics and visit dilapidated bedrooms in which royalty once slept.

Tours are £5 per person, with a 10% discount for season pass holders. Garden admission is required to book the tour.

Whilst all care is taken, this tour has some minor hazards such as uneven floors, a spiral staircase, exposed masonry, dust and insects. This tour is not suitable for persons under 12 years of age, wheelchair users, or those who cannot climb stairs.

The tour begins at 11am at the front door to the castle.
