Staying at Hendre House Cottages means that you have a fantastic array of days out to choose from, starting with the friendly village of Solva. Walk, cycle or drive the few miles from the cottage and you will discover not only a picturesque harbour but also a great choice of places to eat, drink and shop. It is the sort of place with a timeless appeal where kids who visit grow up to bring their own families. A day at the seaside is always a good idea, especially when there are beautiful beaches like Newgale and Whitesands Bay just a five-minute drive from the cottage. These beaches are both a favourite with surfers and kiteboarders as well as with families, thanks to the clean water and consistently good surf. Those with a truly adventurous soul can arrange a morning or afternoon coasteering, leaping from cliffs and clambering around rocks to enjoy views only the daring can enjoy.

Walking the entirety of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Footpath is a bucket-list adventure for some visitors to the area, but even a short walk along the 186-mile route affords stunning views that will stay with you long after you return to your day-to-day life. Although the coastal footpath is not suitable for bikes, there are some excellent coastal cycling routes nearby, or head inland where the Preseli Hills caters for both hikers and mountain bikers and offers far-reaching views from the peak.
