Who we are and what we do.
We’re Rhys Jones and Brandan Thomas, founders of Cleddau Brewing Co., a family-run brewery based in Pembrokeshire.
Named after the River Cleddau, we started the brewery with two clear ambitions: to give people more choice through great craft beer, and to create a lasting positive impact on the place that inspires every brew.
Our approach to beer is something a little different. Every beer in our core range is available in both HI and LO, meaning the same beer at two different strengths. Whether someone wants a full-strength pint or a lower-strength alternative, they can enjoy the same beer without compromising on flavour or quality.
Something not everyone knows about the business.
While brewing great beer is at the heart of what we do, it’s only part of the story.
We created Brewed To Give Back because we believe breweries should leave a positive impact on the places they call home. Through the Cleddau Contribution, every beer we sell helps support projects that benefit the River Cleddau.
Our ambition is bigger than our own brewery. We hope Brewed To Give Back becomes a recognised mark that breweries across the UK choose to adopt, helping create an industry where giving back is as much a part of brewing as the beer itself.
Favourite place in Pembrokeshire.
Barafundle Bay has to be our favourite place in Pembrokeshire. Standing at the top of the hill and looking out over the bay is a view that never gets old. It’s one of those places that reminds us how fortunate we are to live and work here, and somewhere we’d recommend every visitor experiences.
