Visit Pembrokeshire recently caught up with Thomas from Prout’s Recruitment; a new recruitment service in Pembrokeshire.
1. Why Pembrokeshire?
So I have lived in Pembrokeshire my whole life. I have recently finished university and decided to come back home for some time, because who wouldn't want to keep living here!
2. What do you do and why do you do it?
Prout's Recruitment originated from me struggling to find work after university and I decided to figure it all out myself (the aspect of running a business). And I believed in Pembrokeshire there wasn't the same opportunities in a work atmosphere than big cities. I do this for the businesses who are either carrying too much on their shoulders already or struggling to find the right people. I also do this for the job seekers who are struggling to find work or finding solutions to get to work the cheapest way or don't know how they aren't getting hired.
3. What’s your favourite thing about your job?
Meeting new people, I enjoy hearing about people's interests and why they do what they want to do or why someone should join their team. It gives me an extra drive to try and help.
4. How can you help prospective clients?
I have a range of services suitable for many things involved with recruitment. I have a hyper local job board. A great form of advertisement to present job applications to local talent and college students. The prices are a lot cheaper than other job boards, making it suitable for small businesses. I also have a social media advertisement add on for the business including personalised advertising for the role. I also do other services such as interviews and even doing it all for them because I understand how much work business owners and managers have in day-to-day activities.
