Porthmelgan beach

Porthmelgan beach

A small sandy cove, surrounded by cliffs, to the north of Whitesands is accessible only from the coast path.

Beware strong currents.

If you’re planning to visit, check out the tide times to make sure you’ve plenty of beach to play on and that you don’t get cut off by the incoming tide!

What's at Porthmelgan beach?

At Whitesands beach.

On shore facilities

Nearest facilities are at Whitesands – toilets, café and lifeguards from end of May to beginning of September. In St Davids there is a National Park Vistor Centre open all year; numerous cafes, pubs and restaurants; many interesting shops and a good choice of hotels, caravan parks, B&Bs and self catering accommodation.
