With the tag line “Acting responsibly to help clients make the best business decisions”, Landsker Business Solutions have been delivering business support across Pembrokeshire for over 25 years. With their well-known founder Jeremy Bowen-Rees now semi-retired, Visit Pembrokeshire caught up with Managing Director, David Selwyn who is now at the wheel.
Who you are and what do you.
David Selwyn –Managing Director/ owner Landsker Business Solutions. After 20 years with Landsker, I have recently taken full ownership of the business following the departure and semi-retirement of founding owner, Jeremy Bowen Rees. Whilst I have been a Director with Landsker for many years, it is a real privilege to take over the leadership mantel of such a successful and award-winning business. Having recently celebrated our 25 year anniversary; I am excited for the future and the next 25!

David Selwyn
Landsker are a business consultancy, based in Whitland but work across the whole of Wales. We help businesses with many different aspects of their operations from strategy, to business planning, financial planning, marketing, HR, operations etc and are registered on many Welsh Government support programmes such as Farming Connect (for farm diversification), Accelerated Growth (for the fastest growing business in Wales), the Food and Drink Development programme and Cywain (supporting food producers) to name but a few. I tend to focus on helping businesses with business planning and financial focus and then identify and support them to access funding (including grants) to help businesses realise their ambitions.
Why is your business in Pembrokeshire?
Although Landsker is officially in Carmarthenshire, we can see Pembrokeshire out of the office windows! Landsker has always had a large client base in Pembrokeshire due to our focus on tourism and agri-food and as such very much view ourselves as a Pembrokeshire based organisation.
I first moved first to Tenby and then to Llanteg over 20 years ago to be closer to my partners family who were based in Tenby. Unfortunately, most of her relatives are now in Tenby cemetery! Although not born in Pembrokeshire, much of my blood is Welsh (even if my accent isn’t).
Tell us something about your business that people might not know.
I think a lot of people do not understand the length of time or the scale at which Landsker works. We celebrated our 25th year of trading in 2024, are registered on more business support programmes than any other private consultancy in Wales, have helped out client’s access over £150 million in funding and contributed to the creation of 6,000 jobs across Wales. We understand what it is to be an SME in Wales, we understand the growth pains, the commitment and drive it takes to grow a business and the band width needed to build a business, all whilst dealing with the day- to day operational requirements.
How can you help prospective clients?
We pride ourselves on being able to support our clients at whatever stage they are in their business journey regardless of sector. We have a proven track record of supporting businesses to achieve, succeed and grow, through business planning, financial forecasting, grant funding, raising finance, HR, Marketing, Carbon Reduction & Sustainability and much more.

What's your favourite thing about Pembrokeshire.
It has to be the scenery. The landscape is stunning and having moved here, I do not take this for granted and really appreciate the natural beauty. I always remember the first time we rounded the bend overlooking Newgale where the panoramic view of the sea and cliffs spread out in front of you. It literally took my breath away and is one of those sights that I wish I could see for the first time again.
What's the view out of your window
Landsker is set in a rural location in a converted old stone outbuilding between Whitland and Tavernspite. It a lovely place to work with views over the Preseli’s in the distance.
