Puffin Cottage Holidays is a true family-run holiday letting agency with over 20 years’ experience in the Pembrokeshire tourism market. We currently market and manage over 160 holiday properties across the county, with a particularly strong presence in Saundersfoot and Tenby, where our local offices are based.
What makes Puffin Cottage Holidays so special?
Being a genuinely local family business, everything we do is centred around promoting Pembrokeshire and supporting the local economy. Unlike many larger agencies, we do not use call centres - all of our team are local staff with genuine local knowledge who personally know both our properties and the area inside out.
Our Puffin Rewards programme gives over 20,000 visitors a year exclusive discounts at over 30 local favourite businesses including Lan Y Môr, Rib & Oyster, The Kookaba, Umi, Wild Lakes, Pembrokeshire Alpaca Trekking, Dinosaur Park, fishing trips, taxis and many more.
We are also proud to work alongside Welsh rugby legend Shane Williams, who is both a property owner with Puffin and now an ambassador for the business. Through this partnership, we proudly support a number of Shane’s ongoing charity commitments throughout the year, including Velindre Cancer Centre and Wales Air Ambulance.
We also own and operate our own cleaning company and laundry services based in Saundersfoot ‘Pembrokeshire Laundry Services’, helping us maintain consistently high standards across the properties we manage.
For holiday let owners, we keep things simple with a low competitive commission structure and no management fees, unlike many agencies. We also include a complimentary professional photography and drone shoot with local media company Behind The Lens Media as part of our onboarding process. With over 5,000 subscribers to our monthly newsletter for new property launches, special offers and more, alongside video virtual tours linked directly to our YouTube channel with well over 1,000 subscribers, your property is in safe hands to get up and running quickly and reach a wide audience from day one!
What’s the first thing you would recommend for a visitor to do when coming to Pembrokeshire?
Get yourself booked into a great local restaurant before you even arrive so you can properly switch off from day one! Then get out and soak up the atmosphere, whether that’s coastal walks, local food, a cosy pub or live music - Pembrokeshire has something special in every season.
Tell us more about the exciting developments in Saundersfoot and how Puffin is involved?
Saundersfoot is where our offices are based, so we’re passionate about supporting the village and its events year-round. We have proudly supported initiatives including charity event ‘SaundersFEST’, sponsored the village-wide Christmas tree display last year, and are Platinum Members of Love Saundersfoot, helping support tourism, events and the wider local community.
What would your ideal Pembrokeshire weekend look like for a visitor?
Pembrokeshire offers something for everyone, whether you’re visiting as a family, couple or group of friends. For us personally with a young family, it would include using Puffin Rewards for a meal at The Kookaba, a couples evening at Lan Y Môr, family adventures at Wild Lakes and Dinosaur Park, a walk around Bosherston Lily Ponds, trying to squeeze in a mackerel fishing trip and finishing the weekend with a Sunday lunch at The Royal Oak.
