Nevern Agricultural and Horticultural Show ( Nevern Show )

Ynglŷn â Nevern Agricultural and Horticultural Show ( Nevern Show )

Family Day Out

A fun and Educational day out for all

Whether you’re a local or visiting from out of town, we want to make sure that the Nevern Show has something for everybody. We work to make sure that there are plenty of activities, but there is also an opportunity to learn about local agriculture and engage with some of the animals.

We work closely with 6 primary schools and young farmers clubs, helping them to get involved through competitions and more. We make an effort to ensure that the show is accessible for all, including local clubs, school pupils, their parents and staff.

What’s Happening?

Enjoy cattle, sheep and horse competitions, as well as dog shows and other entertainment. If you’re feeling a bit more hands-on, you can engage with the livestock, or get up close to watch our sheep shearing and horseshoeing demonstrations.

Then, once you’ve enjoyed a great day, you can round it all off with purchasing delicious artisan food and drinks to take home with you made by local people who are passionate about our local community produce.

What to Expect

Held in August every year, the Nevern Show is a staple in our community and provides a day full of activities, with something for everyone. In its current form, our show was first staged over 70 years ago.

One thing that has remained constant is that our show provides a platform for local businesses to connect with customers, inspire the next generation and engage with tourists. The show is organized by locals who aim to bring some entertainment for all those who choose to visit, no matter where they may be.

Continuing in traditions from shows of yesteryear, pop along for a day out that has something for all of the family by buying a ticket online or at the gate.

Our History

The Nevern Show has been continuing show traditions since its first iteration over 70 years ago. Including giving vital networking opportunities for local businesses and providing a great opportunity for you to catch up with friends.

With a rich history stretching back to Nevern’s first horticultural show in 1929, we continue to serve the community by giving a platform to local businesses, supporting young farmers and ultimately, providing an activity-filled day out with something for everyone.

Our show isn’t corporate and there is no dress code, there are no bowler hats here! Welcoming everybody, our show is simply put on by a group of like-minded community members for the community and the wider area.
