Step into Christmas at Carew Castle
A castle at Christmas? Yes, please. Carew Castle is stepping back in time for two Tudor Christmas weekends on 5–6 and 12–13 December 2026, from 10am–4pm.
Explore historic rooms decorated with greenery, traditional kissing boughs and twinkling lights. Enjoy performances from local choirs, musicians and storytellers, discover Tudor festive traditions and let little ones get creative with Christmas crafts. Round off your visit with something warming from Nest Tearoom.
Santa will also be welcoming children to his grotto within the castle walls. Grotto tickets must be booked in advance, so get organised early for your audience with the man in red.

Make a date with the pantomime
Christmas wouldn’t be quite the same without a little theatrical mischief. This year, the Torch Theatre in Milford Haven (https://www.torchtheatre.co.uk/events/puss-in-boots-pantomime/) presents Puss in Boots, on selected dates from 5 December 2026 to 2 January 2027.
Expect original songs, plenty of laughs and local references in a Wild West adventure with a distinctly Pembrokeshire flavour. A relaxed environment performance takes place on 19 December at 2pm, with a BSL interpreted performance on 22 December at 6pm.
Or follow the pirates to Neverland with Peter Pan at the Boulevard Theatre. The Big Pembrokeshire Pantomime runs from 9–31 December 2026, bringing a swashbuckling helping of festive family fun.

Get creative this Christmas
There’s something satisfying about taking home a decoration you’ve made yourself, especially when a festive workshop doubles as a catch-up with friends.
At Carew Castle’s Nest Tearoom, try a Christmas Rag Wreath Making Workshop on 10 November, or make decorations at a Christmas Needle Felting Workshop on 24 November 2026. Both run from 4.30–6.30pm, are suitable for ages 12 and over and require advance booking.
For festive foliage in beautiful surroundings, join Karen from The Floral Goat at Roch Castle on 12 December to create a luxury wreath. Grove of Narberth also hosts Christmas wreath workshops on 12 and 16 December, followed by mulled wine and mince pies.

Or put the finishing touch to your Christmas table at Twr y Felin Hotel’s festive table centrepiece workshop on 20 December. Book ahead and enjoy a little creative time before the Christmas bustle begins.
Fill the day with family fun
Festive weekends at Folly Farm
Folly Farm is adding Christmas sparkle to its winter weekends, with Santa’s Grotto, festive decorations and a Gingerbread Trail around the park.
The advertised 2026 winter dates run on weekends from 7 November to 20 December, with extra Friday openings on 4, 11 and 18 December. Santa’s Grotto is an additional charge, with no advance grotto booking required. Add a warming hot chocolate and you have the makings of a cheerful winter day out.
Letters to Santa at Oriel y Parc
Important Christmas post deserves a special delivery. The North Pole post box returns to Oriel y Parc in St Davids from 21 November to 18 December 2026.
Children can drop off their Christmas wishes, then return after three days to collect Santa’s reply. It’s free to take part and a lovely reason to spend a little time in our tiny city.

Skating and seasonal treats at Milford Waterfront
Get your skates on at Sybil House, Milford Waterfront, from 11–13 December 2026. Pair a skating session with a browse around the independent shops or a festive meal overlooking the marina.
For an extra sprinkle of Christmas excitement, Dulse at Tŷ Hotel Milford Waterfront is hosting Tea Time with Santa on 12 and 19 December. Check the Waterfront’s events listings for booking details.
A festive escape at Bluestone
Want to stretch the Christmas excitement into a short break? Bluestone’s Kingdom of the Elves season runs from 2 November 2026 to 3 January 2027.

For a different kind of seasonal outing, Castell Henllys has a Winter Solstice event scheduled for Monday 21 December 2026, from 11am–3pm. Visit the National Park’s website for the latest programme and admission details.
Prefer your festive traditions with a splash? The Tenby Boxing Day Swim returns to North Beach on Saturday 26 December 2026. This year’s fancy dress theme is “All Things Seaside”, with participants gathering at 11am ahead of the 11.30am swim.
