Preseli Pony Trekking

About Preseli Pony Trekking

We are a fully licensed and insured Pony Trekking Centre, situated in the heart of the magical Preseli Hills, in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Our escorted pony trekking routes follow ancient tracks across open hills and moorland, amid spectacular scenery, stone circles, wild ponies and birds of prey. Treks can be from 1 hour or up to an all day ride. No experience necessary for the 1hr route and we lead beginners if required. Hill treks require some previous riding experience, and for the more competent rider we offer half day and full day treks. We provide riding hats. We cater for all sizes and abilities from age 3yrs up, with a maximum weight limit of 16st. All Trek leaders are level 3 First Aid trained and carry First Aid kits and mobile phones. To avoid disappointment, please book in advance by telephone. Payment is by cash on arrival.

Directions

From Narberth or Cardigan, take the A478. At either Glandy Cross (or Crymych) follow the signs to Mynachlog-ddu. Go into Mynachlog-ddu village then head out the village for Maenclochog, go past the children's play area and do not turn off for Rosebush. Stay on the Maenclochog road and as you leave Mynachlog-ddu, and you'll pass a bungalow on the left and a cemetery on the right. We're the next drive on the left. There is a sign at the end of our drive "Preseli Pony Trekking". Our postcode is SA66 7SE. If you use sat nav it will take you to Gors Fawr Stone Circle. We are between the stone circle and Mynachlogddu village. If you look on Google Maps you should see us as "Preseli Pony Trekking at Ashvale Holiday and Riding Stables".
