About Top of the Woods Eco Camp
Top of the Woods is a multi-award winning eco site, providing boutique camping and glamping holidays that gives you the freedom & space to reconnect with nature, yourself & others.
Located next to 325 acres of woodland, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and Cardigan Bay, with remote beauty, wild beaches, castles, and wildlife all within easy reach.
Our guests enjoy a back to nature holiday with campfires, storytelling, wildflower meadows and big open skies. Discover bush craft, secret waterfalls, hidden gardens, hammocks, yoga, Kunekune pigs and free-roaming chickens, around our 27-acre Georgian farm, in beautiful Pembrokeshire, West Wales.
The huge Dutch Barn is a perfect covered space to relax or play. Here you will find hosted food services and pop up restaurants celebrating the very best of quality, local produce. (You can also charge your devices here, if you really need to!)
Top of the Woods loves to host special events, such as their Wild Gin Weekend, which was featured in The Guardian, where you can immerse yourself in nature foraging for ingredients to create your own ‘bathtub’ gins.
You can get back to nature whilst Meadow Camping, with 4 acres of “pitch where you want” wildflower meadow to sun yourself in the company of buzzing bees and fluttering butterflies. Or park up in their Exclusive Campervan Pitch, a large pitch bordered by newly planted woodland, with plenty of space for one campervan plus gazebo/awnings, or two if you are coming with friends or family.
If putting up a tent doesn’t tickle your fancy, you can also book a stay in of their stylish, luxurious, eco & dog friendly glamping accommodations. All with private cooking facilities, firepits/BBQs, luxury feather bedding, a basket of firewood & heating included!
The Pioneer Camps are perfect for adventurous families and friends, who want to discover their frontier spirits! Each sleeps up to 4 on 1x king size & 2x single beds in 2-bedroom compartments. The spacious tents also have a frontier woodburning stove, campaign chairs and plenty of space for your luggage. Outside you will find the iconic Pioneer waggon covered camp kitchen & campfire area.
The splendid views might tempt you into one of the Nature Domes, fully furnished with 1x king size & 2x single proper wood framed beds, indoor dining table & chairs and a toasty woodburning stove. Step outside into bespoke en-suite galley camp kitchen and enjoy the birdsong with your morning coffee!
The huge eco-boutique Safari Lodges sleep up to 6 on 1x king size, 2x single beds & 2x sofa beds. With their own private toilet & showers, and a heating stove to keep you cosy at night. Inside your tent you will find an open plan living space with fully equipped kitchen & dining area. Outside you can soak up the views from your own veranda, sit around the campfire or totally relax in your narrow boat hammock.
In the main courtyard you will find 4 unisex flushing toilets, including a larger toilet with facilities for parent & child or disabled guests & 4 luxury wet-room showers with natural sky light roofs, so you can feel connected to nature as you shower. One of them is larger, with parent & child and disabled facilities.
Quality, environmentally friendly compost loos are found in each of our camping and glamping meadows. The Pioneer Camp meadow also has a further 4 wood cabin showers, with hot showers and sinks, for facilities virtually on the doorstep of your tent!

Directions
If you follow satnav to our postcode, it will turn you into Capel Coleman road, and tell you that you have arrived!
You need to continue down Capel Coleman road, past the houses till you reach the small Church of St. Colman.
At the church, the road ends at a fork of 2 farm tracks; take the left hand fork (signposted Penrallt, Top of the Woods), and continue to the bottom of the track, where you will see the sign for the parking area on your right hand side
Please park, and follow the signs to the courtyard and reception.
The track is unsurfaced, but it is regularly maintained and passable for almost every vehicle. Please be careful, especially if your car is heavily loaded or low slung, as we cannot accept any responsibility for damage to vehicles.
By public transport, there are good regular train services to Carmarthen and Aberystwyth which connect via buses to Cardigan or Boncath village.
There are also great local taxis services who can collect from any of the nearby towns or stations and have minibuses available.
