The Snug - St Davids

About The Snug - St Davids

When we bought our former Pembrokeshire farmhouse in spring 2016 we wanted to offer comfortable, 'cottage' style accommodation in one of the most stunning locations to be found in St Davids.
We have lovingly converted part of our farmhouse into a, self-contained, 2 bedroom haven.  The Snug is ideal for couples, and friends who don't need a large holiday let, but are looking for somewhere to stay that offers more independence than a B&B.
Stay with us in your very own space to sleep, relax and unwind.

Nestled within the wilds of a National Trust reserve, just a short walk to the centre of St Davids and only a few miles from the stunning Whitesands Bay, this is the perfect base for your Pembrokeshire adventure.

Walkers and cyclists are very welcome, with secure cycle storage, cycle racks and space for all your cycling gear.

Plenty of parking, free Wi-fi.  Minimum 2 nights stay.

Sorry no pets.

Accessibility

There is a long, slightly uneven, gravel drive/track leading down to The Snug. Level parking space is available directly outside the main entrance door.  A small step up over the threshold to enter the property.  All bedrooms are on the first floor.  The staircase is fairly steep with 14 steps & handrail. The shower room is on the ground floor with a step up into the shower.  With the steep staircase and layout we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 8 years and The Snug would not be ideally suited to those with impaired mobility.

Directions

From the South – All routes to Haverfordwest are straightforward.
On entering Haverfordwest at the Scotchwell roundabout take the first exit signed for Town Centre and Milford Haven. At the 2nd roundabout follow signs for A487 St Davids.  Continue to follow the signs for A487 St Davids for approx 15 miles. On entering St Davids watch out for speed bumps, about 200 yds after the these turn right at the cross roads opposite Oriel-Y-Parc Tourist Information Centre.  Follow the lane to the end, at the T-junction turn right.  The track leading to The Snug (which is part of our property – Bwlch Carte) is almost immediately on your left.  As you turn off the road follow the central track (do not turn into the fields on the right and left) and the Snug will be found at the end.

From the North – All routes to St Davids are straightforward. On approaching St Davids from Fishguard direction The Snug (which is part of our property – Bwlch Carte) will be found on your right before you enter the city.  Look out for the driveway on your right, just after a sign on the left hand side of the road saying ‘Potatoes for sale’.  If you reach the ‘Welcome to St Davids’ city sign you have gone too far.  As you turn off the road follow the central track (do not turn into the fields on the right and left) and the Snug will be found at the end.

The Snug is a 5 min walk from St Davids.  Regular buses run from Haverfordwest and Fishguard.  Haverfordwest train station is 30 min by bus which stops outside the station.
