St Lawrence Country House, 4 star licensed accommodation close to the historic 12th Century walled town of Tenby, is an award winning luxury B&B which thinks it is a Hotel.
A spacious five bedroom home set within a beautiful estate of nineteen acres, the house is south facing and most bedrooms enjoy spectacular views over the Ritec Valley to the sea, Caldey Island and its beautiful beaches. We are close enough to Tenby for you to be able to take full advantage of all its amenities, yet far enough away for you to retreat and enjoy the peace and tranquility required for an undisturbed and refreshing nights sleep.
All bedrooms are en-suite with tea/coffee making facilities and a flat screen Freeview TV/DVD. An extensive DVD library is available and most rooms have their own refrigerator.
Each room is equipped with a hairdryer, fine quality Egyptian bed linen and towels, and binocular to enjoy the wonderful views and wildlife. Most rooms have dual control electric blankets for cooler nights, and bathrobes are included for use in the Luxury rooms.
There is ample private parking free wifi is available upon request.
There is a large inviting guest lounge on the ground floor with a log burner for cooler months, and an adjoining conservatory where breakfast is served. Both have the same scenic views as the bedrooms.
We bake our own bread and offer a selection of our homemade preserves. Vegetarian breakfasts are available upon request. We grow our own organic produce, and our eggs come from our own free range hens. Our 100 tree orchards of apple, pear, plum, cherry and quince trees, and our raspberry, black and red currant, strawberry, blueberry and blackberry bushes, provide our guests with fresh fruits.Meat and out-of-season produce is sourced locally to support the community and to reduce our carbon footprint.
We offer packed lunches and picnic hampers (24 hours’ notice required).
As a licensed establishment, a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks are offered from a fridge in the main hallway.
We are totally committed in our aim to achieve a Green Sustainable Tourism environment and have installed three solar panels. As well as the two orchards we have planted 1,250 trees

St Lawrence Country Guest House, Gumfreston, Tenby, is accessed off the B4318, along our private driveway directley to the front door. There is ample room to exit and enter your car and to turn and park. We are available to assist with your arrival and carry luggage to your room.
The entrance has two 12cm 3.5inch steps. The front door is 80cm 31.5inch wide and the door from the porch into the spacious hallway is 82cm 32.5inch wide.
The reception hall is where your booking details will be confirmed and any special requests attended to. This may be done at the table/desk, or as you rest on our comfortable hall chairs.
The ground floor en suite bedroom is accessed from the hall via a 86cm 34inch wide door. The room has duel aspect windows and is south facing with views over the garden, across the Ritec Fen a Site of Special Scientific Interest to the sea and Caldey Island.
The bed is a super-kingsize ‘zip and link’ which can be divided into two seperate 3ft single beds upon request, at time of booking. The room has tea and coffee making facilities, a small refrigerator, two easy chairs and a table, as well as normal bedroom furniture and TV/DVD/Freeview.
The en suite shower room, entered via a 84cm 33inch doorway, has a large shower tray, 1600mm x 800mm 5ft 3inch x 2ft 8.5inch, which is wheelchair accessible over a small 2cm 0.75inch lip. Access to the shower area is through an 84cm 33inch opening. There are professional-standard safety handles which have hospital-graded certification. These are detachable, and so can be placed at positions which best suit the individual. We also have a height-adjustable shower seat 300lb load rating, with wide angle rubber-ferruled feet for stability, which is available upon request. The toilet is Lantec approved and has retractable arms. The sink has lever taps for ease of use.
The large guest lounge is accessed on the same level as this bedroom via a 86cm 34inch door.
Breakfast is served in the conservatory which is reached from the lounge via a 88cm 34.5inch wide door. There is a step down from the lounge to the conservatory of 7.5cm 3inch .
The breakfast menu is in large print , however, we will gladly take you through it or read it to you.
The garden is accessed via the double conservatory doors – 100cm 39inch – onto a flat lawned area, which has various seating areas to be able to take in the beautiful views and the scents of our Old English rose garden.
