About Portclew House
Portclew House is a grand Georgian Mansion set in three acres of grounds, just a stone’s throw from the beautiful bay at Freshwater East and the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park coastal footpath which can be joined close by.
The house has seven en suite bedrooms consisting or superking, twin, family and single rooms. From each bedroom you can take in a taste of the countryside with garden views and the extensive scenery beyond. After a comfortable night’s sleep you will be treated to a delicious home cooked breakfast in the grand dining room, which still has many of the original ornate features.
You can choose from a wide breakfast selection including a good, hearty Aga cooked traditional breakfast, smoked salmon and kippers to start your day. On more pleasant mornings you may wish to take your breakfast onto the adjoining balcony. For those wishing to explore the area we can offer a packed lunch.
The spacious bedrooms are situate on the first and second floors and are accessed via a wide, sweeping staircase which runs through the centre of the house. Free Wi-fi is available throughout the house and each bedroom has a smart TV, hairdryer plus complementary refreshments and toiletries. For our younger guests we can supply cots and highchairs. Ironing facilities are available on request. We do not accept pets and smoking is prohibited.
The surrounding grounds of the property are the perfect place to play family games or just while away your time and relax. The securely fenced pond in the rear is home to a flock of ducks. With two balconies on either side of the guesthouse, guests can sit and relax and be sure to catch the sun at any time of day. There is ample free parking.
This family run establishment is suitable whether you stay is for business or pleasure. You will find the friendly, comfortable surroundings most welcoming.
In the grounds of the guesthouse you will find seven charming self catering cottages, of varying sizes, which are listed under Portclew Cottages.
