Accessibility

Mill House Caravan Park caters for Tents, Touring Caravans, Motor Homes and Holiday Home rental along with some privately owned holiday caravans.. We are situated on approximately 1 acre of valley floor with a gentle slope in one direction.  There is a tarmac circulatory road approx. 3m wide.

We are a small Park and manage our business in a very “hands on” way. If there is anything we can do to assist in helping you decide if we are suitable or to make your stay more enjoyable please let us know and we will do our best.

Reception – accessed via a single 75mm step and door sill. Contains various visitor information on local attractions and services.

Laundry/Utility Room – accessed via a single 150mm step and door sill. Payphone available 24 hours. Mobile telephone reception is generally poor with Vodafone being the most reliable service at the time of preparing this information.

We have four gravelled car parking areas so cars are usually close to but not right next to caravans and pitches. On some pitches and caravans it’s possible to unload luggage and set down or pick up passengers close by. Owners are available and willing to assist with luggage if required.

Water Point, Chemical & Waste Water & Fire Points are within 50 metres of all but 2 of the Touring/Camping pitches. Access to each is via gravelled road/car parking areas.

The waste water/chemical toilet point is raised above the surrounding ground level approx. 450mm

The Park has one Toilet & Shower block that’s within 100 metres of all Touring & Camping pitches. There is a 75mm sill at the entrance to both male & female facilities with level access then into both shower rooms. Each room is also equipped with wash hand basin and there is sufficient room for a second person to assist with washing. The cubicles themselves are raised approx. 250mm above the floor level.

Access into the Gents toilet and washbasin area from the entrance lobby is level. The doors to the cubicles are 700mm wide. Access into the Ladies toilet and washbasin area is via one step approx 100mm high. The doors to the cubicles are 700mm wide.

Our static caravans are largely accessed across grass with inset paving slab stepping stones up a small gradient of around 1:10. One of our 2 bedroom caravans offers level access from the circulatory road onto the patio. There is then a single step bridging the height difference of 350mm between the floor level of the caravan and the patio. The layout of the caravans themselves would generally prohibit the use of a wheelchair inside.

All touring pitches are on a gravel surface which extends under the awning and provides a “link” to the circulatory road.

All camping pitches are on a gravel base with surrounding area being grassed, each has its own wooden picnic bench.

Parking is only possible on the gravelled areas and not on the grass between or next to pitches or caravans.

The site is on a country lane with no foot path. The river side walk to the beach is level and well surfaced providing a safe cycle/buggy & wheelchair route to the seafront and on to Saundersfoot.
