Ivybridge Guest House

About Ivybridge Guest House

We are a family run bed and breakfast with 14 en-suite rooms, a restaurant and bar, and mapped on the A487 between Fishguard and St David’s in a quiet corner of the coastal village of Goodwick. We have self-contained flats, first floor standard overnight rooms and annexe rooms with kitchens that open out on to pathways on the front and a secluded spacious garden to the rear. Our rooms are constantly being upgraded with the modern traveller in mind with excellent Wifi, heated cloths rails and a laundry department that can handle most guest needs. We even have the Ivybridge Spa just over the road which is a wonderful and complete facility adding to the range of comfort and relaxation offered to our guests.

Take care to choose the right type of room to meet your requirements; we are not a standard hotel by any stretch and there are seasonal and business travel considerations with every trip. Sometimes a quick over night stay with breakfast to break up a journey in a single en-suite single may be all you need where as someone exploring the wonderful outdoors, walking the coastal path or tracing our ancient connections or wildlife coastline may want something that is a little more extensive, a queen bed with kitchen, in room dining and lounge facility. We have triples, walk in showers, bunk beds for families and two rooms assigned for pet stays. We are strict with pet stays because of the increase challenges of guest allergies and sensitivities.

Although we have a kitchen an onsite with restaurant and licensed bar, it opens mainly on demand so during high season or if we have specific group needs. We manage local delivery and takeaway options throughout the property and use mobile text messaging services to coordinate takeaway requirements. In most long stay arrangements, guests are pretty much left to their own devises unless help is needed. Goodwick and the surrounding area has possibilities for eating, drinking and coastal adventures throughout the year and we are here to guide you with many local activities depending on how wild and creative you want it to be!

The Ivybridge Guesthouse is capable of accommodating parties and sports trips with up to 30 occupancy and meal plans to match. Whether a church retreat, business delegation, a film crew or company operations in the area, we have the flexibility in accommodation, packaging and team stand by to meet your needs.

Our website is the perfect place for daily, weekly and 28 day staycation bookings. We also offer pick up services from the nearby train and Stena ferry port, five minutes down the road. Sometimes check in is extended to after 10pm because of transport schedules in to Goodwick or connection flights from Cardiff International Airport.

Directions

Follow major road signs to the Stena Line Ferry Port Fishguard to Rosslare. You then take the A487 to the city of St David’s and look out for a large sign on the left. Ivybridge Guesthouse is only 1 kilometre away from the ferry port and train station.

Your SATNAV may take you from Cardiff, Swansea, Haverfordwest to Fishguard and then left towards St David’s on an alternative road before getting to the Stena Line port. When you approach the T junction, take a right turn again, towards Goodwick and Stena Line Ferry.

We are situated on the lower left embankment as you enter a small cottage enclave, Drim Mill in Goodwick, SA640JT. We are only partially visible from the main A487.

Goodwick has a Stena Line port (Fishguard to Rosslare, Ireland route), 2 minutes drive from us as well as a mainline train station (Fishguard & Goodwick Train Station), and various bus routes than run throughout the county. Please search on line for timetables as they often change throughout the year or if in doubt, call the hotel for help in this regard.
