About Gwaun Vale
Gwaun Vale is set in the picturesque Gwaun Valley and has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. You can even see the ferry as it arrives in Fishguard harbour. If you enjoy cycling or sailing there is plenty on offer locally and for those who enjoy walking there are many interesting walks locally as well as the more challenging Pembrokeshire coastal path. Fishguard is steeped in history and is the site of the last invasion of Britain when the French landed but were repelled by local farmers and militia.
The caravan park is small with a garden for visitors to enjoy while they barbecue or just relax and watch the beautiful sunsets. There is a local pub which serves bar meals in the evening while you hear all the local tales.
There are lots of beaches nearby and Strumble Head lighthouse is only a few miles away where you can see dolphins and seals with their young pups in the summer months. St Davids cathedral is also worth a visit and you can enjoy some of the many local boat trips from there.
There is plenty to do locally whatever the weather. We look forward to welcoming you.

Accessibility
Gwaun Vale has only 30 pitches and is situated on 2 levels. The upper level is accessed by means of a tarmac road. There are 5 hard stands on the upper level. The hard stand comprises chippings with grass alongside. The lower level is accessed immediately from the main entrance and has one hard stand. The lower road is hard. The rest of the pitches are grass.
The road from the lower level to the toilet block has a gentle incline.
The pitches are clearly marked by a large raised black number on a white background. Cars are parked beside the caravan or tent.
The reception area is accessed by means of an area of chipping stones. It is possible to park a car right outside reception. There is one small step into reception, which also has a few basic groceries for sale. The reception door is 1110mm wide and there is ample room inside for a wheelchair to manoeuvre.
The toilet block comprises a ladies and gents. It is accessed by means of an area of chippings and then a concrete path which is 890mm wide. It is possible to park a car outside the toilet block and laundry room. The doors into the toilet block are 710mm wide. The door into the toilet is 710mm wide. The door into the shower is 710mm wide. The floor is level inside the shower cubicle. The toilet is 410mm from the floor and the washbasin is 840mm from the floor. The hair dryer and coin box are positioned high on the wall. The hand dryer is high on the wall and has a touch button for ‘on’ and ‘off.’
The laundry room has a washing machine and separate dryer, both at floor height and are front loading. The coin boxes are high on the wall behind. The sinks for washing dishes are 910mm high. The freezer for ice packs is 740mm from the floor. There is also a variety of brochure
in the laundry room. There is a table and chair to sit and read the information books.
The dustbins are outside the laundry room and are small round household dustbins. They are clearly marked with raised lettering for recycling.
The chemical toilet disposal point is accessed from the toilet block by means of a concrete path which is 1010mm at its narrowest point.
There are water taps at various intervals throughout the park and all are low level. All are accessible by car.
The fire extinguishers are placed at strategic intervals throughout the park and are 1220mm from the ground.
There is no public transport available near the park. There is a bus service in Fishguard which is 1.5 miles away.
There is a list of telephone numbers for taxis and services available at reception and in the public phone box which is situated outside the toilet block and is a traditional red box with a heavy swing door.
Mobile phone reception is good throughout the park as is TV reception.
