Ynglŷn â Floatel Cabins at Milford Waterfront
Nestled in a cosy corner of Milford Waterfront, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you’ll find a flotilla of four Floatel Cabins among the boats moored at Milford Marina. Each cabin sleeps two and comes with an en suite shower room, luxurious furnishings, private balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows so you can enjoy the best views of the water and spectacular sunsets. A short break on board provides a perfect base from which to explore all that Pembrokeshire has to offer.
Our Floatel Cabins were custom-built in Amsterdam and caused quite a spectacle when they arrived by road in September 2018. A local interior designer curated the fit-out of each cabin, making clever use of the space to incorporate functional and contemporary furniture and local furnishings from Melin Tregwynt as well as some clever finishing touches inspired by luxury cruise ships.
The end result is proving popular with couples and friends looking for something different in their choice of holiday accommodation. The cabins have been awarded the Visit Wales ‘Quality Assurance Accreditation for Glamping’ and ‘Gold Award’ for excellent quality. All four cabins sleep two and two cabins are also dog-friendly, so four-legged travel companions can join you too.
Located at the heart of the county, Milford Haven has a fascinating story of reinvention. Formed by a ria, or drowned valley, the waterway is one of the deepest natural harbours in the world and the UK’s largest energy port. The tide has influenced our history, and brought with it Vikings, Lord Nelson, Oliver Cromwell and Henry Tudor, among others. The town itself was originally established as a Quaker-whaling station, before evolving into a Royal Naval Dockyard, a bustling fishing docks, and today it is home to a 300 berth, 4 gold anchor marina, Wales’ largest fishing port and is a popular waterfront destination with a good selection of places to eat, shop and enjoy. Milford Waterfront also has a busy calendar of events through the year, from a weekly parkrun, to food festivals and the highlight of the year – Milford Haven Round Table’s free annual firework display.
