Dale Fort is set in a spectacular location high on the cliffs within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, giving superb views over the sea. Dale Fort is isolated at the end of a single track road with passing places.

Public transport is limited.  The village is serviced by route 315 from Milford Haven (11 miles) & Haverfordwest (14 miles).  The bus service is wheelchair accessible.  The bus stop is in the village, 0.9miles from the centre.

Parking is available on site.  There is a pick-up/drop-off facility within the Fort.

Entrances to disabled facilities are easily capable of wheelchair access.  There is ground floor access to accommodation.

A wheelchair accessible lift services 3 floors.

There are 2 bedrooms designed specifically to meet disabled needs.  These rooms are spacious and have wet room facilities.

The library/disabled dining area is accessed via a ramp, as is the bar.  The are two work rooms and a laboratory room accessible via the lift.  There is a ground floor kitchenette and sitting room with disabled access.

Panoramic sea views are accessible at the Point.

Directions

From the M4 (Junction 49) follow the A48 to Carmarthen and then the A40 to Haverfordwest. From Haverfordwest take the B4327 to Dale. Follow the road into the village of Dale. Take the left hand fork in the road following the waterfront. Just after the Griffin Inn there is a turning to the left sign-posted ‘Field Studies Centre.’ The Centre is located at the end of the lane. Please be careful on the lane, it is very narrow with only a few passing places.

The nearest railway station to the Centre is Milford Haven. Catch the 315 service to Dale.

The nearest bus coach station is Haverfordwest.  National Express service this depot.  Catch the 315 service to Dale.
