Staying at Caerfai Bay provides a stunning memorable backdrop to your holiday where you can enjoy unrivalled views of St Brides Bay. We have pitches to suit all campers and tourers arriving at our Park and pitches are allocated to suit your requirements. Designated pitches mean you can enjoy your own plot of Pembrokeshire with space to relax, unwind and breathe.

Caerfai Bay, only a 5 minute walk, is accessed via a designated concrete footpath ending in a few steps to the pebbly foreshore. At low tide it has a beautiful broad extent of sand with rock pools and caves at either side for explorers young and old to venture and discover. Caerfai is a brilliant family bathing beach at mid and low tide, at high tide it’s an angler’s paradise – or you could always fish off the “points” at Caerfai. Caerfai beach is dog friendly and dogs are permitted on the beach year-round. Tent fields have dog friendly and non-dog areas.

Advance booking is advised, to avoid disappointment, particularly for weekends, bank holidays and school holidays. Bookings can be made online via our website, over the phone, by email or by post. Bookings require deposit to confirm booking, payment in advance is requested for short stay bookings.

Please note, the access road to the site is via a single track lane with passing places so larger units will need to take care on approach. We do recommend on the final approach, between the Caerfai Farm organic shop/booking office and just before the beach car park, guests drive slowly and let any pedestrians/cyclists pass before continuing down the road.

HIGH SEASON:2 people/tent/car £19.50 per night. Please check for other charges.

There are also nine holiday homes for hire. We do operate a no smoking policy in these caravans which, subject to availability, may be booked for short breaks of 3 nights minimum out of season.

Please remember that we do offer an ice pack service and FREE charging of laptops/phones/cameras etc in our charging cubicles which are available(not laptops) 24 hours a day.

Booking, normally 3 nights minimum, is strongly recommended and requires the payment of a deposit. All bookings will be given a unique booking number and allocated a pitch. Otherwise people are free to turn up to camp subject to availability.

There is a bus service from St Davids to the railway towns of Haverfordwest and Fishguard. Additionally there are buses, leaving from the top of Caerfai Road, which cover the coastal area to Fishguard and Milford Haven – especially useful for walkers.

The Oriel Y Parc Information Centre at ‘The Grove’, St Davids, provides a wealth of local information.

Accessibility Caerfai Bay Caravan and Tent Park is located just south of St Davids and accessed by a single track road with passing places. The road is wide enough for motor homes and minibuses but not suitable for full length buses or coaches. Most people travelling to Caerfai have their own transport. Those relying on public transport will use the train to Fishguard or Haverfordwest and connecting bus to St Davids. From St Davids it is just under a mile walk to Caerfai or taxi services are available. City of St Davids Taxi Service (Frank John) provide a very helpful service; tel 01437 721731, mobile 07974 391522, email: frank@stdavidstaxis.co.uk website: www.stdavidstaxis.co.uk Pembrokeshire Coastal Bus Services are designed to access the Pembrokeshire Coast National Trail without having to use a car. The “Celtic Coaster” bus service takes you to the St Davids Peninsula and can carry wheelchairs. The 14 seater minibus runs from St Davids to Porth Clais, St Justinians and Whitesands. Cars can be parked alongside tents and caravans for alighting and embarkation. The private roads on site are very narrow and there are several small speed ramps which are marked. Access to individual pitches is over grass land. Hearing Impaired Visitors – When the Park Office has several people booking in, it may be difficult for those persons who are hard of hearing (including staff) to understand. Either a quieter time/room can be arranged, or there are facilities for visitors to give/take written instructions. Visually Impaired Visitors – Such is the nature of the Caravan and Tent Park that it is more suited to accompanied visually impaired visitors. There are wide open spaces, which cannot be railed off, and much is uneven. Where there are steps these are highlighted in white paint, and drops in the landscape indicated with white painted stones. This is a small business and we do not have Braille facilities, but large print information can be produced on request. Mobility Impaired Visitors – Parking is available next to the office, but there are no specifically allocated disabled bays. The access to the office is a low gradient ramp with close metal spar rail on one side and raised level on the other. The main desk is at high level, but wheelchair users can use the lower desk in the front office, which is located immediately before the main desk. Specialised wheelchairs and aids can be hired from PIPPA (Physically Impaired People of Pembrokeshire Association) tel: 01437 760999. The disabled shower/toilet can be accessed from the same ramp as the office, however, the laundry, dishwash and information rooms which are also accessible are not designed for wheelchair use. At present we do not have any wheelchair accessible caravans, but there are plans to develop this facility in future. Attractions: Unfortunately Caerfai Beach itself is not accessible for wheelchairs, however there are some local places such as Whitesands, which is a popular and accessible beach that sees a lot of activity in summer. At Abereiddy a few miles further north there is a wheelchair friendly coastal path that starts from the beach car park and continues to the “Blue Lagoon”. The St Davids Cathedral has parking in the grounds and most of the building is accessible.
