Bwthyn Hir, Porthiddy Farm Holiday Cottages

Ynglŷn â Bwthyn Hir, Porthiddy Farm Holiday Cottages

Take a ten-minute walk from the cottages at Porthiddy Farm West, through our fields to the beautiful Bay of Abereiddy awarded with a Blue Flag. Enjoy the quiet countryside, coastal walks, a dip in the sea, coast-steering, observing seals and star gazing. Nearby coastal pubs and restaurants provide the opportunity to eat out or enjoy a relaxed evening watching the sun set over Abereiddy.

The single-storey stone cottage, Bwthyn Hir, is spacious and sleeps four people. The cottage is entered from the seaward side into an open-plan living area. An antique pine partition divides the sitting-dining area from the well-fitted kitchen including dishwasher, freezer, fridge, washing machine and dryer, cooker and microwave oven. The large bathroom has a full suite with bath and separate shower. The two bedrooms overlook the farmyard garden, with a king-size bed in one room, and two singles in the other.

Ty Canol is a light and spacious cottage set on two floors and sleeps four or five people. The large kitchen provides the heart of a Welsh home. The butler-sink, wooden table, chairs, dresser, and cupboards set a traditional atmosphere accompanied by a comprehensive range of modern equipment, including a dishwasher. A comfortable sitting room with SMART TV, and a downstairs bathroom with a full suite with a shower over the bath, lead off the entrance-hall. Here also the oak stairs wind up to the second storey where there are two attractive bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and a single bed, and the other with two single beds. There is also a room upstairs containing a shower, WC, and wash-hand basin.

Both cottages are entered from the seaward side, where there is ample parking space, and a small shed for bikes, surfboards, etc. Picnic tables provide an opportunity to sit and enjoy the afternoon’s sun and spectacular sunsets. The morning’s sun catches the terraced sitting-area at the rear, which overlooks the farmyard garden.
