Banc-yr-Eithin Vintage Caravan

Ynglŷn â Banc-yr-Eithin Vintage Caravan

A haven of peace and tranquillity – perfect for couples, walkers and nature lovers – our cute and cosy vintage caravan is tucked away in its own garden in beautiful 3-acre grounds, 15 minutes by car from the beaches and Coast Path at Newport and 10 minutes’ walk from the Preseli Hills.

With underfloor heating in the caravan and the large private bathroom adjacent, you’ll be warm whatever the weather. There’s a king-size bed (with 100% cotton linen), a snuggly sofa from which you can watch a wide array of birds at close quarters on the feeders outside the window, and a compact yet a well equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. There’s a covered seating area in the garden, plus a bbq and firepit.

Guests can also use our sauna (with cold water bucket shower)…swim in our large spring-fed pond…explore our extensive grounds, filled with wildflowers in summer…play ping pong/pool/table football/bar billiards/darts in the barn (perhaps accompanied by a drink from the honesty bar and music from the large selection of vinyl records)…and use our tandem or single kayak (stored at a beautiful local bay) to explore the stunning Pembrokeshire coast.

“All the fun of a vintage caravan with the warmth and luxury of a 5-star hotel.” Jane

“We would sum up our stay in one word: FABULOUS!!” Lucy

“The best Airbnb I have ever stayed in. Fantastic stylish place, very private, in the most wonderful location. Lovely hosts and exquisite garden.”

“I have to say this is the best Airbnb I have stayed in. The caravan is beautiful, immersed in an abundant garden in a beautiful location. It was absolutely magic, and deeply relaxing, the whole experience. Hugh and Susanna were amazingly kind and attentive hosts. I just cannot recommend it enough and will definitely be trying to return soon! A very special place. Great value and the perfect romantic get away with lots of activities and walks.”

“The vintage caravan was absolutely perfect in every way..the garden..the walks from the property..the peace and tranquility in this chaos of a world was nourishment for the soul..Went cycling to Porthgain.. walking in the Preselis and Pentre Ifan..Have the most amazing photos of these..and the breakfast visitors! Alongside the kindness, the hospitality and the warmth of the hosts.. what more could one ask for…apart from even more time there!!! 😉”

“Our second visit, won’t be our last. Really special.”

“An absolute pleasure to spend our second weekend here. This truly is a gem of a place. The hosts are great, the place is beautiful and you want for nothing. A little piece of paradise.”

“A little slice of heaven xx”

“We had a wonderful 3 days in the vintage caravan. Every need is catered for in the quiet secluded unique accommodation. We had the full spectrum of weather and it was just as nice sitting round the firepit in the sun as it was keeping warm inside and watching a storm. The garden, surrounding hills and moors are perfect for walkers/runners and dogs. You’re only a short drive to a variety of great coastal locations. The hosts provide everything you could ask for an even things you’ve not thought of and make every effort to make sure nothing is lacking.”

“A really special place – I feel very lucky to have found it and enjoyed such a great week here. The area is a walkers’ paradise, with plenty of watersport options and historical interest too. The hosts’ comprehensive guides are there to help you make the most of this great area. The caravan is superbly kitted out, with plenty of lovely touches. Essential to make use of the sauna and games room too! Can’t wait to come back.”

“The caravan and surrounding garden is beautiful – the perfect place to relax, be at peace and enjoy nature at your doorstep. The caravan is well equipped with everything you may need with the bonus of the sauna! The bathroom is spacious and wonderfully decorated, we really enjoyed the underfloor heating throughout the caravan and bathroom, definitely helped with the colder nights. We loved the little touches inside and outside the caravan and really enjoyed using the fire pit. Hugh and Susannah were fantastic hosts and very accommodating. They provided plenty of information about near by walks, places to eat and things to do! We couldn’t be happier with our stay and hope to be back!”

Cyfarwyddiadau

Banc-yr-Eithin is situated in a peaceful and private location at the end of a very quiet 1-mile single track lane (with passing places!) off the Crosswell to Crymych road. Although the location feels wonderfully remote, you can drive to Newport in 15 mins and to Cardigan in 20 mins.

Please note that the last 1/4 of a mile of the track is unpaved and suffers from potholes, especially after wet weather. But it’s fine in an ordinary car (that’s all we have!) if you take it slowly.
