Art and Accommodation at Haroldston House

About Art and Accommodation at Haroldston House

Run by artist/editor Ian and architect/ceramicist Maria, this gorgeous Georgian townhouse – and its former donkey stable – lie in Pembrokeshire’s most picturesque harbour village of Solva.  Just a few minutes’ walk from the restaurants, pubs and shops of Solva, as well as the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, we are the ideal holiday base from which to explore the St Davids Peninsula and North Pembrokeshire.  We offer short-break self-catering accommodation, throughout the year.

Our two studios – the Blue Room and Stable Studio – are decorated in contemporary style with original timber and natural slate flooring, inspired colours and modern furniture mixed in with min-century classics – from Eames to Isokon, and Arad to Alessi.

We love art, and seek to showcase the work of 20th-century Welsh and Wales-based artists – including Sutherland, John Piper & Frank Brangwyn – as well as those of contemporary visual artists living and working in Pembrokeshire today, including owner Ian McDonald’s work.
