Acorn Cottage is an elegantly decorated cottage, all on one level, in the pretty and peaceful hamlet of Thomas chapel, right on the doorstep of the beautiful Pembrokeshire walk. Absolutely ideal for pet owners, walkers, bikers and joggers alike. There is no worry for additional parking fees either. The cottage enjoys being pet friendly, sleeping up to 10 with 4 free parking spaces and a lovely risk free grassy area to allow children to play in the Hamlet.
The spacious kitchen is a room where all the family will want to spend time making meals or just sitting and chatting together and just as open spacious area is the living room with an exquisite orangery with comfy seating and beautiful dining area. Relaxation on sunny days and cosy winter nights in front of the woodburner will add that extra magical star and moon gazing touch through the clear glass orangery roof to your holiday. The orangery also boasts to have bingo facilities, rock jam bluethooth karaoke machine, electric piano and guitar for a good old get together and singalong The 3 bedrooms in this superb Kilgetty cottage, all have televisions with free sat and free sky channels individually designed and decorated to offer relaxing nights and a travel cot and high chair for the younger members. With the added comfort of 3 bathrooms , this holiday home is perfect for couples, friends, families for making special memories.. Being very light and airy and lots of room for all it’s a great place for, iron man & Caldey swim, contestants, celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries jazz festival events, Pembroke castle events , and for any excuse to have a great special get together socializing with those you treasure or just with your loved one.
The cottage also has the added benefit of a games room which includes a pool table, casino table, football table, little tykes kitchen and lots of games and books for all ages from 0 to 100 to play and read. Helping to keep everyone in touch with the ‘outside’ world, in addition, it has the highest possible wifi speed for the area and a wifi range extender
The south facing enclosed rear private and pretty Mediterranean style garden enjoys sunshine from morning until night which means that you can enjoy alfresco dining and drinks, along with the garden barbeque any time of the day With a round table setting in a very tranquil and idyllic setting for lots of fun and laughter. For the younger members there is further fun and play with a little Tykes castle, 2 little cosy cars, little tykes sandpit and lego table..
The cottage being ideally located with a church, pub and shop just over a mile away and Kilgetty a little further with all the amenities from a coop, Indian, Chinese, chippy, pharmacy, hairdressers, car accessories. Nominated one of the best towns in the UK, Narberth being just 5 miles away too.
Plus the Cottage is well situated by being in close reach to Tenby, with castle beach also being voted the best in the Uk by the Times holiday editor, Saundersfoot and Wisemans beach. Wisemans beach being dog friendly and free parking with wisemans Beach pub being right on the seafront with stunning views of the bay. Folly farm & Zoo (as seen on TV) just being a mile away children can enjoy discovering all the animals with hands on feeding available. Other fantastic nearby attractions include Heatherton Park, St Davids Cathedral, The famous and very large Carew Sunday Market Preseli Hills, and Manor Wildlife Park.

There is a train station at Kilgetty, a bus service from Kilgetty to Narberth which will stop at the end of Thomas Chapel Lane. Taxis can be found outside the coop store at Kilgetty or numbers for different taxi firms are on the Coop’s notice board inside. Acorn Cottage has a good mobile and internet reception You can organise grocery deliveries from Tesco or Asda based at Pembroke Their delivery schedules are with a 2 hour timeframe.
Acorn Cottage has 2 spaced for cars on the driveway and 2 at the front. There is 1 step to the front of the cottage approx 10 feet.
The drive is gravelled with a slight incline. and thee is an outside light which is operated form within the cottage.
The cottage is on one level with 3 bathrooms 2 of the bathrooms have showers with a small step to enter. The master bedroom can accomodate the travel cot provided (please bring your own mattress) TV’s have remotes There is space next to each side of the beds to access. The kitchen has all modern conveniences, oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle, slow cooker, wine cooler, toaster, washer,
The south facing garden is private and enclosed There is a round table for seating in both the front and rear garden There is a fountain in the front garden There is a wood burner, barbeque, bird table in the rear garden There is the little tikes castle, little tikes pony and cozy car, little tikes sandpit and lego table outside. Children must be supervised at all times and dogs must not be left on the property on their own.
Directions
From leaving Kilgetty at the roundabout follow the signs for Folly Farm Pass teh garage on the left and approx half a mile up the road there is shop Turn immediate left. This si just prior to Folly Farm Follow the lane along for approx three quarters of a mile and veer left into Thomas Chapel Acorn Cottage is on the left hand side with a sign at te bottom of driveway.
From Kilgetty train station all bus timetables and routes are located outside Kilgetty chippy and further down at the Coop Store The bus to Narberth will drop you off outside the shop just before Folly Farm
