Join Milford Haven Friends (Quakers) for a fascinating and entertaining afternoon with traveller and writer Dewi Heald. Guided by the Quaker encouragement to “live adventurously”, Dewi has journeyed across the world visiting Quaker Meetings and recording his experiences in Canada, Australia, Costa Rica, and throughout the UK.
In this engaging talk, Dewi will read from his recent book A Travelling Quaker Writes – Volume 2 and share stories of his adventures, his spiritual encounters, and the surprising similarities and differences between Quaker communities worldwide.
Expect tales of rainforest wanderings in Costa Rica, insights from Meetings in Vancouver and Victoria, and reflections on what unites Quakers across continents today. No prior knowledge of Quaker beliefs is needed, everyone is welcome.
