British flowers, grown at home and not flown. That’s the idea at the heart of Barrow to Blooms, a flower farm near Pembroke run by husband-and-wife team Lucy and Rol. Following a successful first growing season, we caught up with this new Visit Pembrokeshire member to discover more about their business and the quiet corners of Pembrokeshire they love.
Who are you and what do you do?
We’re Lucy and Rol, the husband-and-wife team behind Barrow to Blooms. We started our flower farm near Pembroke in October 2025 and have enjoyed a successful first season growing and selling a wide variety of annual and perennial flowers.
We supply cut stems, bouquets, flowers for weddings and events, and arrangements for customers’ spaces. Our customers include individuals, florists, wedding florists, farm shops, hotels and event venues.

We’re passionate about championing British flowers: grown at home and not flown. There’s so much variety to enjoy, and we love helping people discover flowers grown right here in Pembrokeshire.
What’s one thing people might not know about your business?
We both have other professions! Rol is a solicitor and I’m an HR adviser, so growing the business has been something we’ve fitted around our working lives.
Starting a flower farm has been a shared ambition, and Rol has also been studying an RHS Level 2 course. It’s been lovely to see that ambition take root and to share our flowers with our first customers.

What’s your favourite place or hidden gem in Pembrokeshire?
We love wandering the beautiful, quiet lanes around Stackpole and Thrustle Mill. The birdsong, tranquillity and wonderful hedgerows make it such a special place to slow down and enjoy our surroundings.
Is there anything else you’d like visitors to know?
Choosing locally grown flowers supports a small local business and avoids the air miles associated with flowers flown in from overseas.
Our flowers reflect the changing seasons, and we take great care in growing them. You’ll find a wide variety to choose from, with colours, shapes and textures that offer something a little different from your average supermarket bunch.
We’d also love to hear from more local hotels and holiday accommodation businesses interested in welcoming their guests with Pembrokeshire-grown flowers.
