Picton Castle’s Mansion of Mystery Escape Rooms offer interactive and intuitive real-life adventure games for teams of two to six people. You and your companions are “locked” inside a room packed full of puzzles and challenges for you to work together to solve. You have just sixty minutes to unravel all of the mysteries and to make your escape.
New to escape games? Our gamesmasters are on hand at all times to help you with hints and clues so that the games are fun from start to finish.
Entry is via a steep spiral staircase inside an ancient stone tower and our reception room is a fascinating Cabinet of Curiosities packed full of intriguing objects and pictures. Both the escape rooms have a Victorian theme in keeping with this part of the castle’s former use as the Bachelors’ Quarters where the single men were lodged away from the temptations of the female occupants and guests.
The Time Machine allows our players to experience a mystery set in the year 1895, locating the missing plans for time travel and making their escape back to the future.
Our new room Espionage – Final Selection sets teams the task of graduating as spies from our top-secret training establishment.
Escape room games are perfect for groups of all kinds from families and friends to birthday parties, stag and hen dos and so on. It is a very memorable holiday experience in the beautiful surroundings of Pembrokeshire’s finest stately home.
Entry to Picton Castle’s grounds and gardens, adventure playground, boardwalk and the Welsh Owl Garden & Zoo are all included in the price of your game during regular daytime visiting hours so you can spend the whole day enjoying Pembrokeshire’s premier heritage site. The Mansion of Mystery is located on the first floor of the castle courtyard and usually accessed via a steep spiral staircase with a rope “handrail”. For guests with mobility problems there is a seperate entrance with a conventional staircase available.

Picton Castle is located just east of Haverfordwest signposted from the main A40. During regular daytime hours please use the main castle car park. After hours visitors are guided through the main castle gateway nearby. The postcode for SatNavs is SA62 4AS.
