About Requiem
SPAN Partners with Oasis One World Choir for Arts Council Wales Funded Project Requiem.
SPAN Arts is excited to partner again with the Oasis One World Choir (OOWC) to present an Arts Council Wales (ACW) funded project, Requiem, with choral and dance beach performances directed by Ffion Campbell-Davies. This collaboration continues the successful relationship between SPAN and OOWC, following last year’s heartfelt performance of “Togetherland” in Tenby and ‘Pot of Good Vibes’ Clunderwen.
Requiem is a research and development project featuring internationally renowned Chinese and experimental percussionist Beibei Wang. The project combines song, live percussion, and dance to celebrate unity in times of loss. Directed by Ffion Campbell-Davies, Requiem aims to support the development of choir members and position OOWC equally with other creatives in the industry, reframing how the sector and community embrace and celebrate people from asylum and refugee backgrounds.
This initiative will provide a platform to amplify the talents and expertise of OOWC members, reflecting the contributions of other creatives and artists in the industry. It also offers opportunities for artists, partners, and participants to develop skills and experience OOWC’s unique approach, honed over the past nine years. You are invited to celebrate this remarkable project by joining us on Amroth beach for choral and dance performances by the OOWC.
Join us for the performance at Amroth Beach, Pembrokeshire SA67 8NG, on Saturday, 7th September, from 3:00-3:40 PM and 4:00-4:40 PM. Tickets are FREE, but we ask that you book your tickets in advance.
