In the hands of our local tour leaders, you will discover where mainland Britain was last invaded, where the Stonehenge ‘Bluestones’ came from and the fascinating history from retreating Ice Age glaciers, through Viking invaders, the industrial past and onwards to more modern events.

Packed full of historic stories and fascinating remnants, you will hear all about the Last Invasion in mainland Britain which occurred here in 1797, as well as delving into the local culture and geological surroundings of Fishguard & Goodwick.

Starting in Fishguard town, our guide will take you through the Gorsedd Stone Circle to the view overlooking the picturesque Lower Town Harbour and Fishguard Fort. In Lower Town, you will hear true stories of local Pirates and the famous Last Invasion of Britain. After a quick stop for a hot beverage and local cakes, the walk continues through woods beside the Gwaun river.

This walk is not suitable for wheelchairs and children under 8.
