Yet-Y-Gors Fishery and Campsite

About Yet-Y-Gors Fishery and Campsite

All of our pitches are a generous size.

The hardstanding pitches with electric hook up points are alongside Woody’s  Lake, which is our main lake, used for leisure fishing and for matches.   Water taps are close  to the pitches.

We have a variety of non electric pitches, some grass, some hardstanding and some with combination of a generous grass area for pitching your tent and a hardstanding for parking your car right by your tent.

Apart from our combination pitches we are happy for you to choose your own pitch area within specified areas.  Although you may have to leave your car in a parking place for access to some areas. Don’t worry about carrying your tent  though!  We can help with transporting your equipment with our quad and trailer.

The majority of our tent pitches are electric free as we believe that camping is an opportunity to turn back the clock and enjoy the environment and nature away from the stresses and demands of modern life.  However,  if you cannot live without your electric we have one tent pitch that does have access to an electric hookup.

The site is 17 acres in total with wild willow and Alder woodland covering about half of these. The remainder is occupied by the four fishing lakes with paths flanked by wild flowers, trees and  meandering paths  linking the different areas and lakes.

We actively encourage the wildlife that thrive in and around the lakes.  We have a healthy population of  hedgehogs and moorhens with frequent visits by red kites, buzzards and kingfishers.  We are also excited that we have attracted a pair of Waterrail and Greylag geese.   The wildflowers include the beautiful ragged robin, bogbean, red campion, ladies mantle, snakes head frittilery,  marsh orchid  amongst many others.
