Graded 5* by Visit Wales, Wild Winds is a spacious, sociable and comfortable 3 or 4 bedroom bungalow, surrounded by extensive attractive grounds with BBQs and several outdoor dining areas. Wild Winds is in the fishing village of Little Haven with direct access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, and enjoys panoramic sea views of St Brides Bay out across to Newgale’s wide beach and the St Davids’ headland.

​Located within Pembrokeshire National Park, Little Haven is a small village bursting with character. While being popular with holidaymakers, it is not ‘touristy’. The beach is great for bodyboarding, kayaking and surfing not forgetting sandcastles, of course!

Leave the car on the driveway and take your choice – there are 3 pubs, a lobster shop and beaches all within walking distance. Families enjoy the traffic-free easy walk to the beach and there’s space for kids to let off steam in the garden. Others simply prefer to sit back and enjoy the views and comfort this property affords!

​Broad Haven is a short drive away, and at low tide, it is possible to walk across the beach to Broad Haven.

Wild Winds is perfectly located for you to make the most of your holiday:

ACCESSIBILITY GUIDE FOR WILD WINDS HOLIDAY LET, STRAWBERRY HILL, LITTLE HAVEN PEMBROKESHIRE.

APPROACH TO PROPERTY
Turn off Strawberry Hill up onto an unmetalled road with a medium incline. Go a short distance to top of road and then turn left at the dead end. There is a wide five bar wooden gate across a paved driveway which leads into the property. Continue forwards onto the paved driveway up a gentle incline and turn right at top of paved driveway onto a fairly level gravelled parking area which can accommodate two cars. Note the fenced structure which surrounds the oil storage tank. Please take care when manoeuvring cars.

ARRIVAL
Wild Winds is adjacent to the paved driveway and a very short walk from the gravelled parking area. Access to Wild Winds from the gravelled car parking area is across the paved driveway which has a gentle incline down to the concrete path which leads to the Front Entrance Door.

There is a small step up from the paved driveway onto the concrete path. There is a gravelled seating area to the left of the concrete path but, it should not be necessary to walk over this gravelled area to gain access to the concrete path.

There is a slight upwards slope on the concrete path which leads to the front door.

We live in Cardiff and aren’t able to greet you in person. We operate a key safe system which enables you to access the front door key upon your arrival.

To find the key safe, walk past the Front Entrance Door down a gentle slope on the concrete path to a level section of the concrete path. Walk to end of concrete path and turn left. The key safe is on the wall just as you turn the left on the corner of the bungalow. There is a motion sensor light on the corner of the bungalow.

MAIN ENTRANCE
The sloped path affords level access to the Front Entrance Door. Motion sensor lighting is above the Front Entrance Door.

CONSERVATORY ENTRANCE
French doors open outwards onto the raised decked seating area which contains a dining table and six chairs. There are three shallow steps down from the decked area to the gravelled area to the right of the decked area. There are four steep steps down from the decked area to the grass area on the left.

GROUND FLOOR
The property is a bungalow and all the accommodation is on ground floor level.

From the Front Entrance Hallway, the Seaside (kingsize) bedroom ( which is not included in the standard sleeps 5 in 3 bedroom letting), Boot Room and Shower Room are accessed by turning right.

The rest of the accommodation is accessed via the open plan family lounge/kitchen/dining area. This open plan area is accessed through the left hand side painted wooden door opposite the Front Entrance Door. There is a slight incline in flooring as you go through this door up into the open plan area. There is a small step down from the bedroom hallway into the conservatory.

There are double oak doors with safety glass panels in the open plan area which lead into the Bedroom Hallway. The Bedroom Hallway leads to the Grown Ups Lounge, Conservatory, Family bathroom, Pink bedroom (single bedroom) , Blue bedroom ( double bedroom), and the King size bedroom. These three bedrooms all on same hallway form the standard sleeps 5 in three bedrooms letting

All of the kitchen units are of standard height. The microwave is housed in an eye level unit with the oven immediately beneath it. The induction hob is set in a countertop unit of standard height. The larder fridge occupies one tall floor to near ceiling unit and the freezer housed in bottom half of a tall floor to ceiling unit.

The bins are in an under counter pull out unit.

The washing machine is housed in a unit in the Entrance Hallways adjacent to the Front Door Entrance.

The shower in the Family Bathroom (off the Bedroom Hallway) is a walk in shower door. There is a standard size and design toilet and bath and a small wall mounted handbasin.

There is a shower in the Shower Room adjacent to the Seaside Bedroom. This is a curved compact corner shower. Access is through two curved sliding shower doors. There is a step up into the shower of 25cms. There is a standard size and design toilet and a compact handbasin housed in a vanity unit in the Shower Room.

Both bathrooms are fitted with child locks to enable the door to be opened from the outside.

GROUNDS AND GARDENS
Wild Winds is a detached bungalow surrounded by garden, almost 3/4 of an acre in total.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE UNFENCED RETAINING WALLS WITH STEEP DROPS FROM HIGHER TO LOWER LEVELS AT VARIOUS PLACES IN THE GARDEN. PLEASE DON’T LET YOU CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS EXPLORE ON THEIR OWN AS YOU UNPACK ON ARRIVAL, CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS SHOULD BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES IN THE GARDENS.

There are even and uneven lawned areas for general use. A steep woodland walk to explore and various different planting areas across steep lawns, or fairly level gravel and lawn or via gravelled sleeper steps depending upon your direction of travel and destination. There is is also a pond is visible from the Pink and Blue bedrooms, rear gravelled seating area and decked dining area. There is a steep step down from the lawn to a stone seating area surrounding the rear BBQ. The coastal path and National Trust Sheep Fields are adjacent to the property. Foxes badger and moles are active in the area so please be vigilant for any badger setts, fox holes or mole hills in the garden.

PLEASE EXERCISE CARE AND SUPERVISE CHILDREN AT ALL TIMES.

The two areas easiest to access are the front lawn and the rear gravelled seating area surrounded by borders. Front lawn is level with and immediately adjacent to the paved driveway, like the driveway it has a gentle incline down towards the five bar wooden gate.
The rear gravelled seating area can be accessed in a number of ways. A path runs all around the perimeter of the bungalow. The path comprises several sections using different materials. The concrete path which leads to Front Entrance Door and also to key box forms one section, there is a narrow gravelled path leading off the concrete path under the Blue Bedroom window and opening out onto the gravelled seating area. From the gravelled setting area   two steps made of anti slip decking material lead out onto the outdoor decked dining area. From the decked dining area you can access the narrow French Doors into the conservatory – a level entrance- or you can walk around the fourth side of the bungalow and follow the gravelled path beneath the Grown Ups lounge which leads back to the paved driveway and Front Entrance Door. You will need to take two steep steps to leave the decked dining area and descend onto this section of the gravelled path.

There is a path leading to small gate which opens out at the bottom of the unmetalled track near Strawberry Hill. This path is on the lawn beneath the decked dining area. The path is narrow and includes 12 steps of varying depths and with three changes of direction. There is a handrail on the stepped section but not on the sloping path.

Directions

There are rail links at Milford Haven and also at Haverfordwest. The main bust station is in the centre of Haverfordwest. The nearest bus stop to Haverfordwest is in Broad Haven. The Puffin Shuttle stops outside the Cornerhouse Cafe in the centre of Little Haven village
