Retreat2Wales - Ty Chwarel

About Retreat2Wales - Ty Chwarel

Ty Chwarel has been lovingly and sympathetically developed to provide the perfect setting for a relaxing or energy filled family get away in west Wales.

Finished to an excellent standard (grading awaiting) the luxury bathrooms and custom-made Oak sleigh beds provide all the comforts needed to ensure an enjoyable stay. The two bathrooms also retain bluetooth mirrors to allow you to enjoy your favourite music whilst having a soak in the tub. All bed linens are provided along with Egyptian Cotton towels.

The large open-plan kitchen-lounge has a full height ceiling with the original a-frames adding to the building's character. The large open-plan kitchen and lounge area provides the ideal setting for guests to relax whether it be on the three, three seater italian leather sofas, the breakfast island or around the custom – 8 person – oak dining table.

Externally, two lit-decking areas area available along with a secure rear garden which retains a large picnic bench. A BBQ is also available on request.

The bespoke barn conversion runs off an eco-friendly biomass heating system, with the timber being provided direct from the main farm. The farm also retains a private water supply.

The original building was built in circa 1900 and up until 2012 was actively used to rear cattle. Animals can often be seen from the barn in the adjoining fields or cow shed (and with a little patience, will likely come up to the garden fence). Our three horses, Chloe, Honey and Casper are also very inquisitive and if guests are in the garden area, they will probably come over for a pat.

Located on the Carmarthenshire/ Pembrokeshire border, it provides the ideal base to explore the local towns or coastal attractions which Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and the Gower has to offer.

NB The barn does not currently have wifi available (awaiting connection) which is reflected in our pricing. However 3G mobile signal can allow for guests to connect to their network or guests can use a pay as you go wifi unit available from the main farm house (subject to additional charge).
