Plyg-y-Rhiw, Cwm Cych

Delightful Welsh cottage perched on the edge of the Cych Valley. With a bubbling stream and surrounded by woodland, the cottage offers visitors a relaxing base. Just three miles from the stunning Cenarth Falls and five miles from the market towns of Newcastle Emlyn and Cardigan, where there are many independent and contemporary shops offering exciting local produce and goods. Within easy reach are stunning sandy beaches, nature reserves, boat trips in Cardigan Bay, with its population of Bottlenose Dolphins, Porpoise and Grey Seals, market and harbour towns plus so much more. From the nearby beach Poppit Sands, you can both stay and enjoy the fantastic views and acres of sandy beach or for the more active you might want to start exploring the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, which starts its 180 mile journey here. There are also lots of other activities to keep you busy, as well as walking; there is cycling, surfing, rock climbing, kayaking, horse riding and much.

The cottage offers spacious comfortable accommodation including main double bedroom, twin bedroom, and cot if required. Recently rennovated there is a brand new family bathroom with bath/ shower over, WC, washbasin and heated towel rail; an additional shower room with a walk-in shower cubicle, electric shower, WC, washbasin and heated towel rail. The modern contemporary kitchen is well-equipped with cooker, hob, dishwasher, fridge, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. The best feature of the house is the large open-plan living space with dining table & chairs (seating for up to 6 people), sofas, Freeview TV &  DVD, books, games, DVDs, and a welcoming wood-burning stove. The Garden Room – provides additional space – perfect for a family holiday and access to terrace area at the front of the house, the room has sliding doors to the utility room and shower room.

The house is surrounded by delightful natural woodland gradens and includes it’s own stream. The area is great to explore but would advise that young children are supervised on their adventures at all times.

Please note beach towels are not provided and special arrangements can be made for cleaning and laundry for longer stays.
