Growing Better Connections - Nature Walks

About Growing Better Connections - Nature Walks

This Summer, Growing Better Connections want to encourage you to  explore your local area, and enjoy the richness of nature on self guided walks from the community halls in Hermon & Tegryn and Capel Colman in Boncath.

Each walk is 2-4 miles long, with posters sharing information about wildlife, foraging, folklore and heritage along the way. The routes and descriptions of the walks can be found on the GBC website.

There are 5 simple riddles to solve along the walk, anyone submitting the correct answers to the riddles by email will have their name put into a hat to win a prize. You can get another chance of winning by sending us a drawing or photograph taken on, or inspired by the walk, which will be displayed in an online exhibition. One winner from both categories will get drawn out of the hat on the 3rd of September, and will win a selection of wildlife guides or a book.

So if you want to find some new local walks for you and your family through the summer, or add a new twist to an old favourite, check out our website, the signs are out now, and the competitions will be running until the end of August.

Please pass this email on to your friends and networks, so that we can all share a walk together, in our own space and time.

Lets get out and enjoy our local countryside.

The GBC team.
