Cardigan Walks

About Cardigan Walks

Cardigan Walks brings you out on a family-friendly history tour exploring Cardigan town’s rich history!

Cardigan town was born around the infamous castle erected in the twelfth century. There are over 100 listed buildings through town documenting its history and importance to the local area.

Cardigan has always held importance through west Wales and attracted strong characters who made and lost their wealth (and, in some cases lives) in town.

Coming out with Cardigan Walks, we’ll share the stories of the people, places, and times that have had an impact on this beautiful town. You’ll not look at Cardigan town the same again!

Our walking tours are 1.5 hours long (approximately 1.5 miles of walking), twice a day, and 7 days a week.

Any age groups are welcome. Toddlers up to three years old are free.

The tour largely uses paths and pavements in Cardigan meaning the tour is accessible. Because the tour goes through town where there can be traffic and obstacles on pavements, the tour is not suitable for dogs. Remember as much as you can from the tour and tell your furry friend the local history when you get home!
