What three words logo.thankful.forwarded

We recommend that you don’t use Sat Nav from point 3 of these directions. Sat Nav will direct you along some unsuitable farm tracks.

Scroll down for directions from Aberystwyth, Carmarthen and Fishguard

From M4 (and A40)

  1. Follow A48, passing Carmarthen and follow the A40 towards Haverfordwest, past St. Clears and Whitland. After dual carriage way ends, continue and take third exit at roundabout – signposted A478 to Crymych and Cardigan. (approx 25 mins drive to Cardigan from this point)
  1. At roundabout outside Cardigan take A487 first exit left uphill in the direction of Fishguard

(if you need a supermarket before you arrive, turn right at this roundabout (3rd exit), over the bridge and straight over the next roundabout, then take sliproad to the left before the traffic lights, Tesco supermarket is on the left, when you’re finished turn right out of Tesco, right at the traffic lights and straight over the roundabout over the bridge and straight over the next roundabout and follow instructions from number 3)

  1. After 2.8 miles (4.5Km) there is a well signed turn on the right hand side to Nevern B4582. Just

before/beside this turn there is a minor road on right signposted Trewyddel/Moylgrove. Take this road.

  1. For those of you using maps you should now be at map ref.: SN 155 430 “Croft”

5          Continue along this road. It becomes narrow and goes downhill and then up a steep stretch. Ignore all of the side roads. There are good views of Cardigan Island. At the end of this road is a T-junction with a sign to Trewyddel / Moylgrove. Turn left here.

6          Continue along this road, go past the first left turn (Trewyyddel/Moylgrove), you are going in the direction of Poppit Sands.

7          Take the next left shown by a triangular road sign on the left. Not very visible or obvious so slow down. There is a sign saying Cwm Connell Coastal Cottages & Seaview Cottage.

8          This is a very narrow road, and about a mile to the cottages. The first property you pass is ‘Penwaun’, this is private property please do not enter. The road bends to the right and you carry on downhill until you reach the farmyard of Tre Rhys Farm. Enter the farm

9          Now go very slowly into and through the farmyard, the track to Cwm Connell is on the left. (There are times when the farmer will close the gate to the yard to move his cattle. You just have to be patient and wait about 10/15 minutes).

10        Drive through Tre Rhys farm yard, when the buildings on the left end, you will see a sign and a ribbon farm track, (its hidden from sight until you reach it). Turn left onto the farm track. There is a small green national parks sign that says ‘no vehicular access’ this does not mean you as you will be staying at the cottages. Cwm Connell is 40 yds down this track (you will pass a large green house called Seaview on the right – keep going, you are nearly there).

11        You will see a white barn on your right and stone buildings ahead of you, this is Cwm Connell, carry on round the bend then….

If you are staying in Ger y Llyn, Yr Ydlan, Ty Cwtch, Bron y Felin, or Ty Twt then drive straight through the gates ahead of you, please park in the car park on your left facing the hedge, parking for 5 other cars here please park considerately.

If you are staying in Yr Ffald, carry on straight through the gates ahead of you, and straight towards the cottages turning left behind the hedge/wall, you can park in front of your cottage, in front of the fence.

If you are staying in Fron Haul turn right and go through the gate towards the green house, your parking is on the left in front of the old concrete water trough. Please don’t block the path to the garden.

12        If you get lost you are very welcome to call for further directions. Our number is

01239 881691 and my mobile is 07807037508.  Try to stop by a property name or landmark so we can identify where you are.  If you ask a local for directions they will direct you down the old bumpy track though Morawelon Farm. Ask for directions to Tre Rhys farm on the Cippyn Road, that will set you in the right direction.
