Llys y Fran

Llys y Fran

There is a village of Llys Y Fran but most people know the name because of Llys Y Fran Country Park which surrounds the lake and the impressive dam that holds it back.

Activities

There is an excellent 7 mile track that circumnavigates the lake. You can either walk it or ride round on a mountain bike. Bikes are available to hire at the visitor centre.

Llys Y Fran is a popular angling centre. You can either fish from a mark on the shore or hire a boat. There are special boats available for wheelchair users too.

Food and drink

There is a cafe at the reservoir visitor centre. For greater choice head for Haverfordwest 10 miles away or to Wolfscastle 5 miles or Rosebush 4 miles

Accommodation

This part of Pembrokeshire is very rural and relatively remote so there isn’t a great deal of accommodation in the vicinity. The nearest hotels would be in Haverfordwest or Narberth. There are one or two B&Bs a bit nearer in Maenclochog. There is a camp site and touring caravan site at nearby Rosebush. There are self catering cottages in the village of Llys Y Fran.
