Festival season is here, with Unearthed in a Field, Cardigan Quay Beerfest, Milford Fish Festival and Pembrokeshire’s first Lure Festival.
Satish Kumar is giving a talk at Rhosygilwyn, Andy Davies is photographing puffins on Skomer Island and an Old Time American fiddle is visiting Burnetts Hill.
And Stackpole Estate has got Fathers Day covered on the 20th.
The following venues have lots of family events happening throughout the month, so click on the links to see what takes your fancy.
Start Spring with a Dawn Chorus at the Welsh Wildlife Centre in Cilgerran. They have family friendly events going on throughout the month, from Treasure Trails to Wildflower walks.
At National Park sites across Pembrokeshire there’s all sorts of family events happening this June, with archaeology for adults and Iron Age discovery days at Castell Henllys and twilight tours at Carew Castle. In St Davids Oriel y Parc has a weekly Walk in the Park on Tuesdays and Foraging with Julia on Thursdays.
Meanwhile the National trust have lots of events on their ‘Things to do before your 11 ¾ ‘ series. Dawn walks and Dad’s Day can be found at Stackpole Estate while Saturday morning runs are over at Colby Woodland Garden.

Skomer Island Photography Workshop
Join professional Welsh photographer Andy Davies for an unforgettable day on Skomer Island learning how to use your camera to capture the stunning landscapes and rich wildlife. Trips go every week all summer.

Rayna Gellert is bringing Old-time American fiddle player and singer from North Carolina to Burnett’s Hill Chapel, Martletwy! Show starts at 7.30 pm.

A jazz musician and keen storyteller Julia Turner is an inspiring and engaging performer. With finger picking guitar and velvet vocals Julia draws from a large repertoire of original songs and old but thrillingly fresh standards. Show starts at 7:30pm, Plas Hyfryd Hotel. Sunday 7th June
Pembrokeshire Classic Car Club will be at Scolton Manor from 11am. Classic cars, tractors, motorbikes and commercials from 1983 to 2015 will be on show. Adults £5, families £10, concession £3.
Tuesday 11th June
We’ve got a Welsh treat in store for you in the form on headlining act Tudor Owen. “Great material, great variety, very funny, and very Welsh.” - BBC Wales

Scolton Manor have their annual summer craft fayre, featuring local arts, crafts and their very own Scolton honey.
Wednesday 17th June
The fabulous, clarinet led group Afternoon In Paris always leave audiences asking for more, so Spanjazz asked them back to bring a little more musical joy into our lives. Music starts at 8pm at The Dingle Club. Tickets and enquiries to Span Arts

Unearthed in a Field
Unearthed in a Field is creating a field full of beautiful things to stimulate your mind and body, from music to fire dancers, trapeze performances and hula hoop workshops. Join in with yoga, meditation, pilates and nibble on ethically and locally sourced foods, including a wild foraged café.
Saturday 20th June
Treat Dad to the sort of Fathers Day all men love'…21st century hunter-gathering in the woods! Head down to Stackpole Estate for some good back to basics fun, with fire making, cooking food over a fire and woodland antics.

Pembrokeshire Lure Fishing Festival
That’s right – the first Pembrokeshire Lure Fishing Festival is being hosted at Neyland Marina this weekend. Fishing from boat, kayak and shore (Lure only), Catch and Release. Other prizes for individual biggest species, juniors, lady, and visitor anglers. If you’re keen on fishing check it out.
Saturday 27th June
Milford Fish Festival
The fishy fun continues in Milford, with something to entertain all the family. The festival is the start of 9 days of events, until 5th July, celebrating all things fishy. Enjoy fishy feasts while soaking up the atmosphere at the music stage, put our local eateries to the test on the ‘Chowder Trail’ and enjoy activities from boat tours to pavement painting.

Cardigan Quays Beerfest
Cardigan Quay’s fantastic riverside location will be celebrating the best craft brewers in South West Wales, with over 40 ales & ciders from our delicious local brewers. And where there’s beer there’s food, fire and music too. Open to all age groups.
Carriages at the Castle
Returns to Picton Castle for another thrilling 2-day horse-drawn carriage event. Best described as a ‘living museum’, competitors will be turned out in their best finery with their traditional coach built carriages to undertake two days of competitions. A must for all horse lovers!
Sunday 28th June
Satish Kumar walked, that’s right WALKED, from India to the UK in 1962 in the name of peace. A former Jain monk and brief resident of Pembrokeshire he is the current editor of Resurgence Ecologist Magazine and lives in Dartmoor with his family. This living legend is talking at Rhosygilwyn this June – not to be missed!
