Pembrokeshire flies the flag

The annual Keep Wales Tidy Coast Awards have just been announced.

And the winner is...

....Pembrokeshire.

A total of 52 awards have been awarded to our wonderful beaches; 30 Seaside Awards, 11 Green Coast Awards and 11 prestigious Blue Flags.

Pembrokeshire's Blue Flag success means that the county is proud to top the table of awards not only in Wales but also in England and Wales.

Blue Flag criteria include the highest standard of water quality, environmental education, management, safety and services. The Green Coast award is awarded to those quiet, quaint, hidden gems. With high standards of water quality and known for their natural, rural surroundings.

Pembrokeshire's 2015 Blue Flag winners:

Amroth, Broad Haven, Coppet Hall, Dale, Lydstep, Newgale, Tenby North, Tenby South, Whitesands, Saundersfoot and new for 2015, Castle Beach Tenby.
