Saturday 2nd August
Triathlon season continues in Pembrokeshire as athletes head to Fishguard for the annual Wales Triathlon – running, swimming and cycling as quickly as they can around the Pembrokeshire countryside. A great spectator event.
Down in Narberth the Pig Street Craft Collective are staging their annual Pig Street Craft Fair, featuring original arts and crafts from artisans based in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire.
Sunday 3rd August
Tenby Summer Spectacular
You know the summer has finally arrived when the fireworks fly down at the Tenby Summer Spectacular. Events take place around the harbour with live music, entertainment, stalls and food and drink.
Tuesday 5th August – 21st August
Oh What a Lovely War
A unique opportunity to watch this drama unfold in the atmospheric and beautifully lit ruins of the Bishop's Palace in St Davids. Told by a lively pierrot troupe with their theatre band, the play presents the story of the First World War in all its heartbreak and bravery, through music, dance, comedy and drama.
Thursday 7th August
Toad of Toad Hall
Mathry Community Hall is playing host to ‘Toad of Toad Hall’ this summer, with a series of performances throughout August. Full of action, songs and loveable characters, with a live band playing with as much joy and energy as the cast put into this well-loved play.
Comedy of Errors
The Festival Players are back again for another evening of open-air theatre, with their take on Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors, performed at Lampeter House near Narberth. Tickets and enquiries to Span Arts

In The Money
An enjoyable, magical evening of poetry, music and prose following the theme of all things financial, in the intimate atmosphere of the Bishop's Palace in St Davids. An eclectic mix that is always popular with our audiences!

The 39 Steps
Manorbier Castle is the backdrop to Alfred Hitchcock’s classic spy thriller, The 39 Steps, hilariously recreated as a gripping comedy thriller featuring four fearless actors, playing 130 roles in 100 minutes of fast-paced fun. Tickets and enquiries to Span Arts
Wednesday 13th – Friday 15th August
The Torch Theatre are putting on 3-nights of outdoor cinema screenings across the county. Wednesday 13th is Mamma Mia at Picton Castle, Thursday 14th is ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind’ at Trevayne campsite near Saundersfoot. And Friday 15th is Dirty Dancing at the National Trust’s Stackpole Estate, near Pembroke.

Cardigan Food Festival
Come and taste our finest local produce, from award winning cheeses to rare breeds of meat, celebrating the quality and diversity of the superb independent food producers that abound in Wales.
Tuesday 19th – Thursday 21st August
Pembrokeshire County Show
Pembrokeshire County Show is a great family day out and one of the largest county shows in Wales. Meet the farmers, eat local food, watch horse jumping or fast car races, view farm animals of all descriptions and browse through the huge craft hall. Everything you could possibly want to know about living in the Pembrokeshire countryside in one field!
Wednesday 20th August
Visitors can stay overnight on Skomer Island and join the team as they witness the first flights of the Manx Shearwater chicks. Watch these incredible birds emerge at night from their burrows and take the first steps on a journey that will end in Argentina!
Thursday 21st – Monday 25th August
Head to Fishguard this August bank holiday, for 5-days of jazz. You’ll find daily performances and workshops, at lots of different venues across town, to help you sing, play and dance the blues. You’ll be amazed what you can get upto in Fishguard!
Many events are ‘bucketed’, where entry is free and you’re invited to pay what you can to support this enthusiastic volunteer-run event. Some events are ticketed, nothing over £10.
Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th August
Annual Country Fair
Step back in time at Picton Castle as they host this 2-day celebration of British Country Fairs. You’ll find local produce and crafts, a dog show, gundog displays, archery, fly fishing and clay pigeon shooting.
Wednesday 27th – 29th August
Summer Proms @ Rhosygilwen
Tim Hugh and musicians from the London Symphony Orchestra will be heading to Rhosygilwen for a 3-day prom with a special ticket price – under 25’s only £1.
Sunday 31st August
Tenby Caldey Swim
100 wild swimmers are putting their skills to the test in this annual 2-mile open water swim from Caldey Island to Tenby’s North Beach. The race starts from the island at 3pm. Well worth popping down the beach to cheer them in!
