What's on in February

This month brings together a wonderful mix of Cuban rhythms, thought provoking cinema and tales from one of the world's greatest living explorers.

During half term there’s Knights, Princesses & Dragons, kite flying and children's theatre to entertain and thrill even the smallest visitor.

Sultans of String at Queens Hall

Rooms with a View Cinema

Tenby Library will host the screening of the winter season of ‘Future Shorts’. Beach circuits at Broad Haven South, NT Stackpole Estate

Get active in the great outdoors with beach circuits at Broad Haven South. Taking place every Sunday in February, join our instructor for an hour-long session. Suitable for all ages and abilities, let the outdoors move you! £2 per adult.

Live music from Pembrokeshire Intimate Gigs - The Brother Brothers

Rich harmonies and thoughtful songs accompanied by guitar, cello, violin and banjo as only a group like the Brother Brothers can offer. Hosted by Cwtch live music venue, Pembroke Dock. Performance begins at 8pm

Half term fun at Scolton Manor.

To celebrate Wales' Year of the Sea, Scolton have a host of sea based quizzes, plenty of 'Marine Makes' in the craft area including paper plate octopi, floating jellyfish & seahorses plus 'Find A Fish' and 'Sea Life Seeker' trails running through the grounds.

Knights, Princesses & Dragons at Pembroke Castle

Expert guide, Howard will take you on a tour with children's stories about kings, princesses, and knights; pirates and caves; and dungeons and dragons. Free events but normal admission charges apply.

Tudor household trail at Tudor Merchants House

Look for the Tudor dolls hidden around the house and find out what their jobs were. Lots of different roles were needed to make the household run smoothly. Event free but normal admission charges apply. From 11am.

Dragon Quest at Carew Castle

Use all your dragon-hunting skills as you search the castle to find a dragon! You will be rewarded for your efforts. Event £1 per child plus normal admission

Willow Wednesday at Colby Woodland Gardens

Ghost Tour 2: The Shriek-ual at Pembroke Castle

For an eerie evening out take the after-hours tour around Pembroke Castle's creepy passageways, gloomy towers and spiral staircases, and hear a selection of our ghost sightings and poltergeist activity. Aged 16+, however, 16-17 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.

Bushcraft basics at Colby Woodland Garden

Children’s Theatre: Tom Thumb at Queens Hall

To mark 15 years of activity Lyngo are bringing back their very first show, revamped and specially adapted for a younger audience. Performed on or under a kitchen table this wee wonder of a show is full of magic with feathery spinning birds, a flying house and a portable forest! Ages 3+. Starts 2pm Tickets from Span Arts

Beach Clean at Freshwater West

Grab a litter picker and help The National Trust Stackpole Estate care for this beautiful stretch of coastline with a pre-season beach clean. Litter pickers, gloves and bags will be provided. Meet at Freshwater West for 12noon. Free event.

Get Arty by the Sea  at Oriel y Parc

Get inspired to produce your own masterpiece inspired by the sea and coastal landscape with help from our National Park staff and volunteers. Children must be accompanied by an adult. 2pm-4pm £3 per child. Booking advisable: 01437 720392

Fri 23rd February

Kite flying festival at Gupton Farm

Blow away the cobwebs with at Gupton’s kite flying festival and make sure you hang on tight! Take flight in the field and head to the indoor barn for kite decorating activities. Meet at Gupton Farm from 12 noon. Free event.

Sat 24th February

Tyhai at Small World Theatre

An exciting Indo-Celtic collaboration between three musicians based in Wales: Rajesh David Pete Stacey and Dylan Fowler. Tyhai’s repertoire includes the ragas & rhythms of Indian music, verses from Sufi poetry & ancient Sanskrit texts as well as Welsh traditional music and song. Doors 8pm. Tickets £10.
