Happy New Year!

Come spend it with us.

Whether you prefer log cabins or luxury hotels, if our reputation for fine dining is your thing, or just a festive nibble as you get ready for the countdown, we can recommend starting the year here: amongst ancient woodland, rolling hills, windy cliff faces and beautiful stretches of deserted coast. So what are you waiting for? We’ve got the champagne on ice.

Winter walking

Come celebrate with us.

Looking for fireworks? Tenby and Fishguard both have events in their main squares with lots of merrymaking from the local watering houses - the community spirit is fantastic to see and be part of, or wander down to the harbour to watch the bursting lights reflect on the water.

There are smaller celebrations in most towns too - from St. Davids & Solva to Pembroke & the Preselis - talk to the locals and you’ll find a friendly and warm welcome into any festivity.

Most hotels have their own party going on too, The Grove near Narberth, Llys Meddyg in Newport, the Druidstone near Broad Haven and the Bluestone Resort are all renowned for their parties (and suitable for children too).

Or why not take the celebrating in to your own hands on some of our stunning and award - winning coastline? A flask of hot chocolate, a bottle of champagne, and a glove full of sparklers - with a setting like Pembrokeshire whatever you end up doing, you’re bound to kick the New Year off in style.

Come experience with us

If you’re after something a little more adventurous, why not try the New Years Day Swim in Saundersfoot? Take it from us, nothing will set you up for the coming year like a freezing dip alongside thousands of other swimmers. Will you plunge straight in or only make it ankle deep? Either way, what an experience.

If you’re here for a while, you might want to get ahead with those resolutions a little early. Why not try your hand at rock climbing or even surfing - the locals love a dip at this time of the year as the waves are so good. Most activity centres stay open year round to help you get to grips with your chosen skill.

Come relax with us

We know that Pembrokeshire is the spiritual home to many - so maybe this year give yourself a proper break to relax and settle; take a week (or two) and enjoy some of our winter walks, our relaxing spas, and some great local dining, and get back to yourself before the year truly begins.

Or if you’d like to give thanks and celebrate then light a candle and take in the service with the John S Davies singers in the magnificent surroundings of St Davids Cathedral on New Years day.

St Davids christmas

…And if you can’t make it down on the 31st, don’t worry, in the Gwaun Valley they still celebrate New Years or Hen Galan to the old Julian Calendar, on the 13th of January.

We’ve had a wonderful year exploring and uncovering Pembrokeshire's secrets for you to enjoy - we hope you’ve enjoyed them too.

It's not too late to join us for New Year in Pembrokeshire. Search our accommodation to find the perfect snuggily bed, then relax and enjoy the celebrations.
