Whatever the Weather!

Liquid sunshine, blustery, scorching, damping – we have many words for the weather here in Pembrokeshire and sometimes we need to use them, not too often, hopefully at night

If the weather turns wet, cool, hot or breezy and you want to head indoors then Pembrokeshire’s got it covered.

With over 60 all-weather attractions to choose from, we’ve got great days out to keep the whole family smiling, whatever the weather.

Singing in the Rain

When the weather turns there’s nothing better than a nice comfy seat and a good film! The Torch Theatre always has something going on, with youth theatre, summer camps, live shows and the latest films on offer all year round. Span Arts are also worth checking out in Narberth, with children’s theatre and workshops a regular feature in the holidays. And North of the county you’ve got Theatre Gwaun film reel in Fishguard.

Splish, Splash, Splosh

Grab your towel and head over to the Blue Lagoon indoor water park, near Narberth. This watery oasis has a wave pool, water slides and interactive wet area for the little ones. A great place to head come rain or shine!

And if you don’t want to get wet try walking on water at Heatherton. That’s right, walking on water! Heatherton World of Activities has a huge selection of undercover family-friendly things to do, including play areas, golf, archery and baseball.

Get Crafty

Creative little ones will be fully absorbed in painting plates, bowls, monsters or fairies at one of Pembrokeshire’s Creative Cafes

Creative Cafe

For something completely different contact Buzzard Chris Bushcraft and head deep into the woods to learn how to make shelter, fire and woodland crafts. Kids of all ages will love this!

Animal Magic

Animals are fun companions in all weathers. Get up close and friendly with the local wildlife at Folly Farm. Patsy cow is hosting a wild party with her exotic cousins the lions, giraffe and penguins – to name but a few! With over 250 animals, covering 50 species, you’ll need a full day at Folly Farm just to meet everyone!

If reptiles are more you’re thing don’t miss Dragon Reptiles in Saundersfoot, an interactive tour of the most extraordinary reptiles in the world, including dragons!

While over at Manor House there’s more wildlife to visit at the Lemur walkthrough and rhino shelter – another great day of animal antics.

Ready, Steady, GO!

For active kids Pembrokeshire leisure centres are dotted around the county, offering swimming pools, indoor tennis courts and lots of different drop-in classes.

If a good run-around is required Ocean Commotion have an indoor children’s play centre in Tenby or there’s go-kart races for big kids in Haverfordwest.

West Wales karting

All the family can enjoy ten pin bowling at the Phoenix Bowl in Milford Haven or how about getting muddy over at Wood Park Off-road 4x4 driving centre.

Take advantage of the weather this holiday and find something new to discover in Pembrokeshire this year.
