Wild about Pembrokeshire! run by Julia Horton-Powdrill, offers wild food foraging walks and courses that will introduce you to ingredients and materials from the wild.
The ‘Foraging for Beginners’ walks are a great way for the curious to gain confidence about identification, flavours, usage, responsible collecting and the legal implications of picking from the wild.
Seashore Foraging Courses primarily focus on seaweeds, seashore plants and shellfish. After identifying and gathering ingredients from the sea and collectively cooking them up on a beach fire, I promise that no-one will ever look at a beach or seashore in the same way again!
Course and walk dates are available on the website but Julia can also tailor options to suit your own group’s requirements.
What better place to discover your ‘inner forager’ than along the hedgerows, ancient track-ways and shoreline around St Davids!
